nOOB wants to know why you guys are buying mint vintage SW figures. is it that you don't have these characters in your collection, you have them and want multiples, or is it that you would like a more minty tasting character? :dunno

i just unpacked some of my SW vintage and starting to stick my toe in the water again after all these years. just not sure how far in the deep end i wanna go. :lol

I have my childhood SW toys, but never had a complete collection. I started buying mint figures to display so I can keep my childhood ones in storage.

Thanks, Waller! So what are you planning to do with your childhood toys?

That's what I'm afraid of...that I'll need to complete the collection! :gah:
And there's a lot of completing to do, after destroying my SW vehicles as a child. :lol

I've got them in my closet in bins. I'll probably keep them that way. They're not in terrible condition, but most figures can be bought mint for very little money. I stopped buying toys around the time Jedi came out, so most of the Jedi toys and all of the POTF toys are all new to me.

That's cool. I may do something similar, or give my old toys to the little one to play with, and keep the mint pieces for the display cabinet.

Yeah, I've seen some of the low prices on figures I would be interested in, so it's given me the itch. I never had that many SW toys growing up, but enough to form a slight addiction to everything that is SW. :lol

Hey man... don't blame me, blame Kenner for this whole mess :lecture

And come on in Gibby, the water is fine :lol

Damn, Waller I just remember I never got back to you about my faded-ass Sy Snootles :lol

Hot damn Waller! That thing is sooo awesome! The colors are so vibrant... It just oozes Star Wars and 70's. How is the quality of the cardboard they used? Is it as thick and stable, when set up, as it appears to be? You mentioned it having a pretty substantial footprint. What's the diameter? Like 2.5-3'?

Awesome pic! Tip to tip! :rock

I would kill...KILL to have my childhood toys.

Lots of people have gotten the itch due to this thread, so blame galactiboy! :lol

I think Flosi gave everyone the itch. Like Cabin Fever™ the movie. :lol

I am no Devil666 but I tried to make this picture look "vintage". That is an awesome piece Richard, can I ask what this set you back? I know it's a grail.

That really is an awesome piece... would love to see it set up on a lazy susan so you could just rotate it at will :rock :rock :rock

I wish I was collecting these with you guys. I mean I guess I am, I am just now upgrading my figures. I'll dig out my Droids and Ewoks for a family photo soon enough. I may start upgrading my Super Powers figures too.
