I've fought temptation a couple times in getting into this line for the OT figures, but the chase figures killed it for me. I know I don't need a complete collection, but sometimes I'm all in or none at all in terms of collectibles. :(

You should just buy a couple. That's all you would really need. I'm sure you could just walk away after that, no problem. What's the worst that could happen?

So there are obscure background characters that never made it into the original lines, eh? I don't suppose Hasbro made that mistake with the newer figures. I even saw on JediDefender that the guy with the ice cream maker or whatever it is got a figure.

LOL

I get it, but oh boy...

He valiantly protected his ice cream maker against all threats. I can't believe someone decided to give him a complex back-story and everything:

Sweet jesus :lol

Gay. This is what is wrong with Star Wars. Everything has to be spelled out for you and your hand held. There is no more power of myth type of ____ happening.

And you might be the single lamest person ever for saying that.

Man Sam, you are such a sassafrass as of late.

Why so defensive? Did you just shell out 500 bucks for the Kubrick version?

Sick burn, LEGO>Kubricks. :wink1:

I would. . .if only they would let me. Next DX set should be Cloud City themed, and he is more than worthy of being one of the 1/96 blind boxed chases.

The cost of Kubricks broke me.

That's bad advice and you know it, you can't stop at one.

Your sarcasm has been duly noted. :lol

See above. Samafrass.

There was a guy on here that used to have a website for recast Droids and Ewok prototypes he would sell and he also sculpted a Kenner style Gargan, Slave Leia, and a cantina alien. He sculpted a 1/6th Blue Snaggletooth figure on here too. I forgot his name, Adam maybe?

I'm 99% sure that was Bantha5; he does some amazing work, but haven't seen him on in a long time. I bought his snaggletooth and some skulls from him. Beautiful sculpts and some of the cleanest casts I've ever gotten.

Kenner was going to do a Gargan, but didn't.

Baby got back.

I've always wondered; was she supposed to have 6 titties... or is that just a lot of fat :huh Either way... not attractive in the slightest ;lol

Same here, I really dig the Kubrick SW figures... but getting into them seems a bit overwhelming. Also, I'd ultimately rather put my $$$ into some more vintage goodies than these guys.

I like to think I'm more saucy than sassy, but. . .you take what you can get.

You don't get my sauce...ever. Mrs. Starkiller would kill you. :lol

That's him Jo, and don't count out LEGO. They do some awesome ____, I can't wait to pick up the Executor.

I had quite a few of the first sets from way back in 2000 (Which feels like 2 weeks ago)... Maul's ship, Slave 1, X-Wing, Landspeeder, etc. I ended up giving them to a friends kid. :lol

I don't think I would, but I can't say I wouldn't be interested to see what this would look like. Like Waller though it would be even harder to turn down vintage styled figures of Tarkin or Slave Leia... I mean I've got the neck chain from Jabba's thone and I think Leia would look better hooked-up to it than C-3PO :lol

Oh, this reminds me... does anyone have extras of the two "inner" gargoyle heads (one with the neck chain, the other without)?

I bought a sweet mint Jabba playset - some of the parts were even still in the baggies - but for some reason these were missing. :(

Large and in charge :rock :rock :rock

Who needs Gentle Giant's blown-up figures when you can buy the original vintage goodness :huh

I thought the GG 12" Kenner figs were neat until I saw them in a comic shop in NC a few weeks ago. Completely changed my mind. They just don't have the charm vintage SW figures have.

The giant GG figures are kinda cool. The price not so much. If they were less I would have maybe got them, now I plan to get R2-D2 and that's it. I was tempted To get VC jawa though.

I was tempted to get into the line, but the first releases shot up in value pretty quick that I did not feel like paying the secondary market prices. Then as I thought about them more I didn't want to dedicate the space or money to collecting them.

If they made Yoda I might have to consider it depending on how classic the robe looked. He sort of sums up the Empire era for me.
