Yep, he was the last one. I got him for a little under $160 shipped, so he's the most expensive in my collection. He's coming from the UK, which I thought was appropriate since he was never released here.

After winning my New Year's bid on R2, I decided to bite the bullet and get in gear. I listed a few things on eBay. Once they sold and got paid for, I went on the hunt today.

I lost the first Yak Face I was bidding on today. I decided I didn't want to lose out on Stormtrooper Luke since it seems harder to find a nice white one. Once I had him in the bag, I started looking at the other Yak Faces. I found one in the UK for a decent price, so I sent the guy an email asking for some additional info. Once he wrote back, I bought the ugly mofo.

It's been fun getting these guys, but now I'm really looking forward to how to display them. That will have to wait until the move so I know what type of space I'm looking at. I'm aiming for a Man Cave this time.

He was about $135 shipped. R2 ended up being about $105 since I had about $15 in eBay Bucks.

I wish I had known that on December 29th, eBay was offering double the eBay Bucks. It would've helped me when making these bigger purchases.

Well, I've already bought 100 of those stands. They're really nice and I'm very happy with them. Since the circumference is small they're barely noticeable, which is another plus.

I started working on a display case this past weekend. It might not be permanent but I'm going to give it a go anyway. I need to get some glass cut for the shelves, install some LEDS and change/add some lighter background (thinking of a yellow like the Kenner card backs).

I've seen people use the yellow backgrounds before. It's a nice throwback to the cards and makes the figures pop really well.

The case I'm working with is pretty dark, and I want as much light as possible to be under my control. I think with the LEDS, light background and glass shelves it should really light up well when I turn it on... or so I hope.
