Some pics of a couple of my favorite figures as a kid. Maybe not true vintage for some as these came out in 1990 a year after the movie once DC revoked Toybiz's rights to the liscense. While the bodies are retooled from Super Powers the likeness are definitely there although Joker's eyes tend to through his off a little.

I love those figures, have them moc somewhere though I'm missing Bob the Goon. I remember begging my mom to buy me them when the movie came out.

Awesome photos, btw!

Thanks, man! :duff I loved Bob the Goon! Man did he rot on the pegs for years though at Kay-Bee toys. :lol The first Toybiz Bats will always have a special place in my collection as he was my first Batman. Could never find the Super Powers one.

I believe there was a third head sculpt variant but I don't recall what it looks like. The zipline belt was a pretty decent feature and this figure actualy came with a Batarang and the grapple unlike the Kenner ones who had gigantic missile firing things.

Those pictures are great! My lcs has a Deathstar playset and it definitly looks like it would've been a cool toy to have as a kid. Lots of play value/potential. I miss playsets. :(

Just picked up a 1977 marked SW vynl Kenner case with 12 figures all C-8 or better some with weapons for $50. They looked too clean for the price. I will post some pictures soon to see what you guys think. All with 1977 or 78 markings. Fake or ok.

Wow, you got a hell of a deal.

That collecting looks great, Hollywood! I love that Bigfoot. It's nice to see it with the chest intact, usually it's missing.

Ok the collection is assembled with the two newest editions......Bigfoot and the Biosonic Steve Austin release from 1978.

Fantastic!

I can't believe you have the Biosonic Steve! :drool Do you mind me asking how much you paid for it?

I remember when I was a very young kid (I guess I was 5) and it had just come out! I begged my mom for it, but she said I couldn't have it since I already had the bionic grip Steve! :monkey2

I had most everything else: the capsule, Oscar, Special Mission Legs and Arms, Maskatron, etc. But I never did get Sasquach. My cousin had him though.

Sadly I lost most everything. I've gotten a couple of Steves along the way, and the capsule, and I recently got the crappy Bif Bang Pow 6" Steve. Every once in a while I check ebay for some bargains but I end up not getting anything. But seeing your collection has inspired me!

Dammit if only someone like Enterbay would make a "modern" 1/6 figure of Steve, I'd die a happy man!

Thanks for the compliments.

Actually I just purchased the Biosonic Steve for $149 off Ebay a few days ago. He is in near mint condition with all original pieces/ socks etc. And he is completely functional with tight joints.

Beautiful collection Hollywood! Congratulations on a great find! That was a damn good price for the Biosonic!

Haven't bought anything in vintage in months. Just got this in...

Very cool. I loved the Larami line back in the day. Even those neon waterguns of the '90s...

I'll chime in with one of my favorite toys from my childhood that I dont recall being mentioned here...

Flying Fighters!

Heh, I remember those. I had the same one... I wonder what happened to it?

I have a similar story where I was at a flea market in FL and happened upon a few old GI Joe figures. They weren't hard to come by figures either, in fact the gem of the three was Rampart and I don't ven recall the other two. But I was stoked to find Joes in the wild so I asked the crusty old lady behind the counter how much and she responded "Seventy-Five." Seeing as I was at a Flea Market I pulled out three quarters thinking she meant cents. Boy was I wrong. She wanted $75 for three pretty forgettable Joes from 1991. What really bumbed me out was that was the best thing I found all day.

That's crazy... I mean, did you tell her that's not what they're worth? If you look like you know your stuff, they might just relent - after all, they don't want to sit on product.

I have a similar story. Guy at a market was selling a couple sealed boxes of the GI Joe cards made in 1991... I think he was asking $20, which isn't so bad, but his abrupt "they're rare and hard to find" bark at me was a bit annoying. In the end, I paid $15, which is a good price, but don't BS me about Joes, pal. :)

I was also at a toy show in Victoria, BC, where I bought a couple of MIBaggie figures - Zap and Short Fuse. Now, I had been looking for these for a while, but the guy was selling them at $125 a pop. I knew that was high at the time because I'd been watching on Ebay (maybe that's a good price now, I dunno). When I told him that I must have come off like I knew something - he admitted that he didn't really know, and asked how much I'd pay. I started at $125 for the pair and he went for it. I probably would have gone a BIT higher but not much. Anyway he was nice - not at all some scumbag type of dealer like you guys are talking about - but it certainly helps if you're know what you're talking about, and can dazzle them a bit with your knowledge. These days I suppose you could also pull out your smart phone and quickly show him the going "sold" rate on Ebay, too. :)

I have to agree. There's a guy at my local dirt mall who is a real tool. One of those that has carded POTF2 figures for prices that would make a Hot Toys collector blush.
I did have some pretty good luck at the flea market some months back, but its so hit or miss I hate to even bother.

lol, man... I think I'd go in there every once in a while and just shake my head. "Still here, eh?" and then walk out.
