That's a gorgeous figure.... Amazing how the old card photos still stand out as definitive imagery for many of the characters. I love it.

Very true Rich...very true.

Alright. Enough of this Star Wars bull____. We all know what the greatest vintage toy line is.

They let you be a MOD? :lol

There is definitely two main camps of vintage 80's fans... GI Joe and Star Wars.

Its kind of like being a Beatles fan or an Elvis fan, you can like both but they cannot be equal.

Obviously I'm Star Wars... love GI Joe, but just not my thing.

I have more JOES than SW figures. I think.

There's some nice reproduction lots on ebay.

Real or GTFO.

Variant, super hard to find, holy grail of vintage figures :lecture

Along with mickey mouse logo. :hi5:

Very good David. The Skiman speaks the truth.
You forgot about the TF fans.

GI Joe's my main love, in case people didn't know...

Also a Transfan through and through. :chew

you guys are killing me with the vintage SW stuff.

must....resist. can't....start...new....collection. losing....willpower. ebay....is....inevitable.

SW was my first love. I can still remember buying my first figure, a Darth Vader, at a JC Penny's. I might have been around 4 or so.

Speaking of firsts, my first Joe was Short Fuze, first MOTU was Skeletor and first TF was Hound. I remember each very fondly.... My Nana bought me Skeletor but she made me keep it out in the garage till my dad picked me up that night because she didn't like the skull. :lol Old Italian ladies are funny that way. :D

Do it Craw! And sell me more of your Transformers sir. :wave

I liked mixing up my Joes and SW figs, I didn't have a Ben Kenobi (Ben Kenobi, he's here? :lol) so I used my Rock N' Roll in my landspeeder as a fill in because he had a beard. Cobras made good cantina fodder, but most of the time they were played with seperately.

Yes... but do you love the lines equally? If you say yes then I submit that you are a dirty liar :lecture

Uh......................no. :( IF I was in a house fire. I'd save my two boys, wife, and if I could I'd save my Kenner SW figures. For serious.

EDIT: I forgot the huse fire part. :lol

I just hope that none of you consider yourselves real Star Wars fans if you are missing any of the Ewoks and Droids figures.

You do if you were born in 1970. By the time those cartoons came out, I was out of the game.

It's interesting how Star Wars toys have fans from the 70's AND 80's. You either see '70's collections replete with Star Wars, Six Million Dollar Man, Mego, Marx, etc. or you see '80's collections with Star Wars, G.I. Joe, MotU, Transformers, Ghostbusters and Thunder Cats. Judging from the excellent collections in this thread (with the exception of a few) most of you we're born in the late 70's, early 80's.

You are a wise man Deak... if you have the time though, please grab the (soon to be my) Thundercats figures :duff

My post was updated as to why I would save my wimmen and childens. Then Kenner figures. I haven't even mentioned my Kenner Adventures of Indiana Jones collection. Or my Ljn Temple of Doom figures. So awesome.

1978 here... so '85 when I was 7 were the halcyon days of toys for me :rock

:lol Obviously us vintage collectors must be in sync as I assumed it was a fire :lol

the only TFs i have left are the SDCC soundwave from a couple years ago and about dozen of his cassette tapes from the Takara Encore series. i was think about selling them off actually.

Duuuuuuuuude, call me brother! You know I am interested in those Encore tapes. :wave

i don't know. part of me wants to sell them cuz i'm not really a TF collector. but everytime i look at them i immediately jump to my childhood. when i was in Kindergarten i always had a laserbeak or a ravage in my jeans pocket. i always think of that when i look at them. i'll have to reevaluate.

Hey no problem man, but if you decide to pull the trigger let me know. Deak Starkiller has no listing fees! And just to let you know I love my Henkei Transformers collection. :rock

Over the last few days I've sold several Transformers Classics figures on eBay. I'm whittling my collection down to just my vintage, Masterpiece, and WST figures.

By the way, if any of you aren't familiar with World's Smallest Transformers, you should check them out. They are incredibly small (around 2 inches or so), but they transform the same way as their G1 counterparts and are incredibly detailed.
