Alright. Enough of this Star Wars bull____. We all know what the greatest vintage toy line is.

There is definitely two main camps of vintage 80's fans... GI Joe and Star Wars.

Its kind of like being a Beatles fan or an Elvis fan, you can like both but they cannot be equal.

Obviously I'm Star Wars... love GI Joe, but just not my thing.

I have them all...except Vlix. There is a customizer on here Bantha5 that does AWESOME recasts of the unproduced Droids and Ewoks figures. He also sculpted a Kenner style Slave Leia, Gargan, and some cantina guy. Too bad his old site is gone. He is a great artist.

The was a guy selling Vlix figures for around $80 on RS recently... looked really good, but I just don't have any interest in owning a copy of a real figure... give me the original or nothing.

Now, the custom "never made" figures sounds pretty cool. Pretty postive Bantha5 used to make some of these, I seem to remember seeing a vintage style slave Leia that was totally badass :rock

Totally agree. There's just something about vintage toys. Either the fact that it takes us back to our childhood or allows us to buy toys we couldn't get back then (Kenner Alien).

And huge props to galactiboy for starting this thread. Lots of great posts in here and nobody nitpicking or arguing. :yess:

Thanks man, and totally agree... there is something very powerful about vintage figures. I love the high-end 1/6 I'm getting, but if the house was burning down I'd grab my vintage stuff first :lecture

*Biff voice* "How many points are articulation does Star Wars has?"

I'd love to complete the SW run but the $ just isn't there right now. What I would really like to do instead is finish the figures from my childhood. I'm missing pretty much all the guns/accessories for all my figures and I would like them to be whole again. Anyone have any spare weapons, parts they don't need?

There's some nice reproduction lots on ebay.

You forgot about the TF fans.

GI Joe's my main love, in case people didn't know...

Nah... no one is a bigger fan of TF than GI Joe and Star Wars.

Well I guess their could be misguided souls like that, but I'd hardly consider them people :nana:
