I just hope that none of you consider yourselves real Star Wars fans if you are missing any of the Ewoks and Droids figures.

I have them all...except Vlix. There is a customizer on here Bantha5 that does AWESOME recasts of the unproduced Droids and Ewoks figures. He also sculpted a Kenner style Slave Leia, Gargan, and some cantina guy. Too bad his old site is gone. He is a great artist.

See, that would be a great custom area. Vintage Kenner figures that were never made. :drool

Yea I'm gonna walk away, this is too dangerous of a place to lurk :lurking

lol, yeah, but vintage is so worth it in the end - it's just cool having something "old".

(The brackets are because I am as old or older than any of the stuff I've got, but you know what I mean...)

Totally agree. There's just something about vintage toys. Either the fact that it takes us back to our childhood or allows us to buy toys we couldn't get back then (Kenner Alien).

And huge props to galactiboy for starting this thread. Lots of great posts in here and nobody nitpicking or arguing. :yess:

You ever think Hasbro might make newer figures in vintage style one day? I mean, crap, they've done everything else with SW...

Which reminds me, I've got to get one of those new rocket-firing Boba mail-aways...

God that Kenner Alien apps are so far off, it's also totally go the wrong number of spine rectors on his back as well. Maybe if we send some more request to Kenner's Facebook page they'll fix it.

Whose up for a petition, I'll start the poll.

I'd be up for something like that. It's ashamed they're doing the vintage line in 12-inch scale instead of 3.75. :(

You mean those Gentle Giant things (or whatever the company's name is)?

I don't know, I see the appeal I guess.

I'm talking, like, getting Kenner-style figures of ones that weren't made, like Han in Stormtrooper disguise, a couple more Ewoks, some of the Cantina denizens, a Sandtrooper, etc.

Heck, even Kenner-style Clones and prequel Jedi might be cool... in moderation of course.

I know a guy locally if you guys are serious. He has some good stuff, selling his entire vintage collection. Even a plastic cape Jawa! Once I pick over his collection I can set you guys up with him. :naughty

Do it. Do it.

I've bought all mine on eBay so far, but Rebelscum is another good place to buy.

Is there a commerce section on RS? I'm a member but my post count is like 2, so I really don't know the ins and outs.:lol

Those are all good places.

As for price it really depends on how much is there, if the figures are rare or not, condition, and if you get a good deal or not.

I got a great lot on the board of 40 or so figures for about $100; picked it over and then put the remains back on eBay and broke even.

2.50 ea? Very, very nice... That's then kind of deal I'd love to get in order to jump start things.

I used to check Cloud City Collectibles, The Earth Toy Mall, etc. places like that. Also SDCC and the SW Celebrations are a great way to pick up figures. Also local toy shows too. If you're ever in the area Phat Collectibles in Anaheim is a cool toy store. If you can help it buy them locally, and always check the feet...lots of kids wrote their initials on them. I know I did. :monkey2

Earth Toy Mall seems pretty reasonable. I was looking there the other day but I've never ordered through them before... Nice to know a buddy has bought from them before, Nick. Thanks. :wave

My Kenner SW figures mean more to me, I have fond memories of those toys.

I bought a few things from them, including a MIB white G1 Jetfire that I sold to Eli. They know there stuff. Stay away from Brian's Toys if you can, they're cawcks and are IMO over-priced. Occasionally you can find stuff priced incorrectly and score.

I'd be all over that like stink on a turd. :yess:

I remember that :lecture

And you directed me towards Brian's Toys for a Wonder Bread He-Man  :cuss

I'd love to complete the SW run but the $ just isn't there right now. What I would really like to do instead is finish the figures from my childhood. I'm missing pretty much all the guns/accessories for all my figures and I would like them to be whole again. Anyone have any spare weapons, parts they don't need?

I've never been a fan of Brian's toys.

Sometimes they are a necessary evil. I scored a Twistoid MOC for $40, so they can be useful...sometimes. :wink1:

I might.

Me neither, high priced ****** bags 99.9% of the time. Besides they have a hard-on for all things AFA now so they wouldn't lower themselves for loose stuff unless it could be graded minty-mint! :lol

i sold a huge moc star wars collection on ebay a few years back. 32 figures total. all either case fresh or right off the pegs. my uncle worked in a toy store in times square back in the late 70's early 80's and when they went out of business he bought a bunch of star wars figures for like 2 bucks a piece or some insanely low amount like that. anyway i had kept the collection for a while, but i have no sentimental attachment to star wars so i eventually did sell them.
i have individual shots so ill post some pics here and there.

12 back luke
