Just tenderizing your balls a bit sugarbuns so I can bust them more tonight when you get home from work. :naughty

Truth be told, I didn't have any snazzy comeback to say about that MK III jab and posted that pic referencing myself for picking on you, the "I...uh... gotta go!" excuse. But you took it as something else which works waaaaaaaaay better anyway, so we'll go with your post! /o/

:lol:lol:lol Honestly, I've been putting a lot of thought into narrowing the focus of my collection a bit. There are times when I feel I'm all over the map with different items and licences so the timing of "short attention span" was just about perfect.

I've been trying to do the same... I'm now trying to keep to one version of a character per film and limiting myself to original flicks and their sequels. Got rid of a lot of extra stuff that way T:S, Alien3, AVP, etc...

I finally picked up a Han in Carbonite from eBay for about $45 shipped after using some eBay Bucks. It should arrive shortly. :rock

Yeah, I feel one needs to do that every now and then.

I used to have a lot of SW LEGO and Hasbro SW figures, but it was taking up a lot of space and I figured, I'm either going to collect one thing - in my particular case, GI Joe - really well, or just kind of half-a$$ a bunch of things. So I sold all the LEGO for a profit, the Hasbro stuff at a loss, but was able to get some really key pieces for my GI Joe collection as a result. Of course, the 25th Anniversary stuff really threw that whole plan out the door, then Sideshow Joes came along... by then I had started getting the MOTUC stuff as well, and a few Hot Toys here and there.

Might be time to skim down a little for me, too. Not saying I'm selling all that, but there are a few Hot Toys figures that don't really "fit" the themes I've got going on, and I could probably get some good money for them. When I come back from this deployment I'll probably sell my extra Pred 1 and Dutch (don't ask why I got them - but I'm kind of glad I did, now!), my exclusive Cleaner Kit Wolf and exclusive Battle-Damage P2... Not sure what else. No way am I getting rid of anything Joe-related, other than extras, or vintage SW, which I really like collecting as I love SW but collecting SW stuff as a whole is overwhelming. The nice thing about Kenner is that there's a clear end in sight... unless Hasbro releases new vintage-style figures - not just vintage packaging - which would be AWESOME, but I digress.

Anyway, I figure having just the one Pred and Dutch in my collection is enough, and the way Ebay prices are going, I might actually be able to get a mint/stickers unapplied Flagg with the dough those four figures would get me.... :)

I like what Galactiboy has - a little of everything. I'd like to have a little shelf with maybe one or two Sectaurs (loved the big ones as a kid), a few Dino-Riders (mainly the T-Rex), the "big three" from the Super Powers line, Leoric from Visionaries, maybe Warduke from the D&D line, a LEGO X-Wing, etc.

Yep, looks like they've made some improvements. I went there 4 or so years ago and it was pretty fun but not much quality. Mostly a lot of 90's Toybiz and later crap. Also the dude working there had absolutely no idea what he was talking about and tried to tell me a DCD Composite Superman was "very rare" and worth around $15,000. At which time I pointed out they had 3 for sale in their store section for $20 each :lol

Still a pretty fun place, but seriously in the middle of nowhere about 1/2 between Oklahoma City and Dallas :huh

I look at my HT figures and think "damn, I could sell all this for a nice chunk of money and put that back into a more focused SW/Indy collection." That eFX Darth Vader helmet, for example, had me really tempted to sell a few items to fund it's purchase, esspecially since I didn't start looking into it till just a few days before the presell. Still, it's hard to imagine getting rid of some figures, and I really doubt that I could ever be really satisfied with prop replicas.... :panic:

At that point, a smart man would've offered you a competitive salary to work for him. :lol

Oh heck, I'm certainly not getting rid of much either, not this time around.

- Vintage SW? Heck yeah, keeping that, obviously.
- Sideshow SW - I only get the key figures, so no need to get rid of those.
- Hot Toys - everyone's gotta have some of these in their collection, if they can afford it. I figure Pred, Dutch, T1 and T2 Arnies, and Leonidas is a nice enough selection. Might pick up the T1000, too, we'll see. If they ever make Conan (the original), Matrix or Kill Bill figures, watch out!
- And of course MOTUC is too awesome to let go.

That's as focused as I need to be, I think!

All in all, I think it's just the extra Predators that will go. I've pretty much given up on getting a Scar, so why keep the other AVP movie version (as cool as Wolf was - he was definitely the best part of that movie). Ditto Pred 2. Might keep Berserker though - I really liked Predators...

The big sellers will be my extra boxed Pred and Dutch. I had pre-ordered them from Toys2, but then when Sideshow offered up the exclusives, I got those too. Toys2 had a cancellation fee, so I kept the extras, even though it hurt the credit card a lot - figured I'd be able to sell them for more down the road, at least.

Hey, if they can get me a Flagg, I'd be pretty happy.

I have to admit, I regret selling SOME of my SW LEGO. I'd like at least to get an X-Wing, which won't be too hard I think. Might have been nice to keep the AT-AT and Falcon though, too...

I've got an X-wing Lego I'd sell ya... its the first release and complete. I've got a few sets of them that I just don't do anything with.

Dutch goes for about 300 while the Pred1 goes for around 4 or 500, right? How much will a Flagg run? 1500? Shipping is gonna be a biyotch!

Both Dutch and Pred1 prices are raising quickly... and the BD P2 sells for around $600-$700 on a good day.

Every so often I consider dropping the P2 movie... but I love the P2 Elder too much to sell him even for the ridiculous price he goes for.

Thanks, but I think I'll just try to pick up the newest one in stores. You still see it around from time to time, I think. Well, you did when I left. I like it better than the first version - bigger, more accurate.

Yeah, well, it's a start!

If I can, I'd like to get one I can pick up in person...

Oh yeah? Wow, good to know. The one I've got is the Sideshow Exclusive version, too...

Yeah buddy... then you will be in good shape. That bonus mask will get you an extra $100 on the Predator. I've seen the exclusive sell as high as $700.

Dutch it doesn't help as much, but probably give you at least a $50 bump. Those headphones just look stupid :lol

I sold both of my exclusive pieces for a total of $145 on eBay.

lol, well I'll keep the exclusive Dutch, anyway. I'm too much of an Arnie fan not to. I'll just sell the regular I had gotten from Toys2.

I'm wondering if I should just sell the exclusive piece from the Wolf Pred on its own, though...

I had a WTF moment, first reading this as meaning "I sold both my exclusive figures" then getting what you meant had to delete a whole post. :lol
