I think Coco could rock the hell out of something like that. But man, getting it shipped (even in pieces) would be a nightmare.

I could only imagine... Oklahoma to California??? I bet it would weight a ton too, not to mention the massive dimensions! :lol

I just bought a Romba and Anakin today, thanks to some drunk weekend ebay bidding that I somewhat regret... So that's 5 of the last 17 down. I didn't want to leave myself needing a ton of those harder to find figures at the end...

Yup, those are Tigersharks another great line from LJN, just need Lorca and a couple of weapons to complete the set. Got these in a pool supply store, of all places, when they were first released. The first and only time I saw them at retail.
I got Megator on a childhood trip to Italy, saw Tytus too, but didnt want him cause he was "just a guy". Really into monsters back then, guess I still am :)
The Alien was an eBay purchase, Oh well. Still a one of my favorites.

Flosi, its great to see a collection grow, thanks for sharing the updates and pics.

Eventually I'd like something like this, photo stolen from Snobi_wan over at the RS forum... Hope he doesn't mind.

That's pimp--I love it for my Joe collection except I'd change out the yellow for red, white, and blue. But why does he have multiple versions of a bunch of figures? Were there THAT many variants?

Yeah, there were a decent amount of variations that have been documented. Gotta remember the re-released previous figures with each new cardback over an 8 year period. This can lead to a lot of variations. Looks like he has most of the major ones are there, but I don't see a vinyl cape Jawa.

Luckily the POTF figures don't have variants :lol

Thanks Stealth! It's been a lot of fun to put together.

Yeah, that looks really clean. Personally I could do with a much smaller one since I don't see the need to hunt down every shade of paint they used for each and every figure. Major variants like a blue and red Snaggletooth, yes, Lando with and without painted teeth, not so much.

i like the fact he put the dianoga in there as well................:yess:

Nah, not a chance. It's pretty tight with one standard comic. I was thinking of hanging a ASM Annual #1 but the comic itself is too thick.

Ah, too bad. Sounds like they're basically just floating shelves then?

That's really cool. I love that's it's the same colour as the vintage cardbacks.

lol, yep, I'm doing the same thing. Well, I can't get drunk here, unfortunately... but I have been recklessly buying POTF!

So let's see... I recently got Amanaman, Anakin, Barada and an Imperial Dignitary. Already got Warok, Romba, Endor Luke, General Lando and Carbonite Han are on their way... Wow, guess that doesn't leave many.

Yak Face
Stormtrooper Luke
R2 w/Lightsabre
EV-9D9 (I know this is going to be a pain to get...)
Imperial Gunner

I think that's it! Of course this will cost me several hundred dollars yet, and I still need quite a few from ESB and RotJ. Not that many, I think, but a few.

Also picked up a Jabba playset recently, and some of his denizens (Bib, Gamorrean, etc). Get back in 40 days - can't wait to set this stuff up!

Yeah, I'm with you - some of those variants are just plain stupid.

The frame is just two planes of glass. You put the comic between and that's that... The frame portion is only deep enough to have a standard comic fit between the glass and still allow the closures at the back enough room to turn thus holding everything in place.

I really started from scratch with this collection as I had less than ten in February but it sounds like we're in similar spots right now, though you're a little further along that I am. I have only 5 of the last 17 and I need lots of figures from ESB and ROTJ, which is really pretty exciting since most of those can be had pretty cheap.

You should snap a pic of everything that's waiting at home for you once you get back, Prime. I'd love to see it.

Haha, it'll be like the best Christmas ever! There's not just vintage SW, but some minty fresh vintage Joe vehicles (big ones too, like the BUGG and Thunderclap), a couple international GI Joe items, and of course all the Sideshow and Hot Toys figures I had on pre-order. Of course, some of those went to my brother so I'll have to wait until they visit to get them.

I'm really looking forward to finishing the basement when I get home, and ordering some shelving. That's where the collection will go, after.

Flo will finish around Spook then put everything on ebay in one huge lot around Thanksgiving to fund his HT DX Indy and Christmas shopping. :lol :nana:

How is it that I've somehow developed this rep as a guy who sells his stuff? Is it because of my selling the KOTCS Indy PF that stood out in my collection like a sore thumb? Or is it the Mk 3 that I sold to you at a very reasonable price? :wink1:

Touche! :lol Though I will say, I'm no where near as bad as some on of the folks here on the board.

Just tenderizing your balls a bit sugarbuns so I can bust them more tonight when you get home from work. :naughty

Truth be told, I didn't have any snazzy comeback to say about that MK III jab and posted that pic referencing myself for picking on you, the "I...uh... gotta go!" excuse. But you took it as something else which works waaaaaaaaay better anyway, so we'll go with your post! /o/
