Condor Flats in California Adventure is going through a major redesign currently. Changing into a more time-period specific space and getting a new name: Grizzly Peak Airfield. Taste Pilots Grill is the first phase ready and it is now Smokejumper Grill.

Couple of weeks ago America's Funniest Home Videos taped a finale or anniversary episode at Disneyland and the set up kind of looked like this:

Caught this really cute exchange where a little girl found her stormtrooper and wanted to take him home.

Moving right along, TOMORROWLAND sneak peek has taken over the Magic Eye Theater in Tomorrowland. Appropriate.

In the queue are nods to the 1964 World's Fair, where some of the movie takes place.

Behind Dumbo is an organ playing music in Fantasyland. There's a door that opens up and Dumbo pops out

Another night time Disneyland party was titled DIXIELAND AT DISNEYLAND: A MUSICAL CELEBRATION. They had live music throughout the West Side of the park (Frontierland, New Orleans Square, Adventureland) as well as some meet & greets Country Bears, Cowboy Mickey and Minnie, Gaucho Goofy. I only partook in the Jazz on the River aboard the Mark Twain.

anyhoo... it was good times.

Over in California Adventure...

there's an AWFUL show. It's a Frozen singalong that replaced Muppet Vision. It was supposed to end this coming week, bringing back the Muppets, but they extended it based on popularity.

All traces of the Muppets are gone

So you think it'd be the actors coming on stage and singing the songs and you sing with them, but they come out and introduce movie clips with the words. Of EVERY SONG. Except the Trolls' song. It was unbearable.

And then Elsa comes out and sings "Let it Go" again... even though we already heard it.

The World Premiere of Tomorrowland happened at Disneyland's Downtown Disney, with the after party in Tomorrowland. Appropriate. They redressed the AMC for one day only.

Tonight is the premiere of the new World of Color show... since it debuted in 2010, this is the third new version of the show, although they've added scenes and removed some several times in the last 5 years. I'll have pics of that later.

First, Condor Flats recently reopened as Grizzly Peak Airfield, tying it all to Grizzly Peak Recreational Area and the neighboring Grand Californian Hotel a lot better.

Long shot, but is it possible to get in there as a one off? Me and my fiancé are hoping to visit DL as part of our honeymoon next year, and it would be an amazing surprise if could somehow get us in there. Perhaps if I email DL direct?

And yes, that is a super long shot. Club 33 is a very exclusive club and do not take requests like that. If they did, they wouldn't be exclusive and the members that pay $10,000+ a year wouldn't be too happy.

So I pretty much spent the entire weekend at Disneyland to see all they have for the 60th, and from what I know, more is to be unveiled later this summer. I'll post some pics tomorrow!

Really the only way in is if you know someone that's a club member or part of a special event that occurs there. I was only able to go a few years ago due to a special event. I'd love to go again one day since they refurbished it but as I do not know any members and no outlook for a special event at any point in the future then I am happy I was able to experience at least once in my life. Maybe luck will be on y'all's side and you'll be able to go (fair warning.....the price is quite expensive to dine there but the food is quite good and the experience is very very nice).

Great photos as usual. The Winnie the Pooh ride is actually quite good and underrated I feel. Same with the Peter Pan ride.

I remember looking into getting a membership to Club 33, which is hilarious since I live on the east coast and have never been to California. But at that time, which was 15 years ago when I looked, there was a 8 year waiting list to "possibly" join, plus $10k a year membership fees. I think they stopped doing the waiting list all together now and you have to have an existing member sponsor you.

I've heard this week that Disneyland Paris are getting the Star Tours update. Both happy and sad about that, I love the new ride, but always enjoyed the charm of the original.

You got time, it'll close March 2016 and open 2017. Who knows, by then every other star tours may get an update for The Force Awakens.
