Ive always want to go to WDW.

My kids are too young to bring them down to FL, or I should say, I really have no interest in lugging strollers, car seats, pack and plays, etc. on a plane and then have to keep track of it all. I'm a patient man, and it's only been 3 years since I've been down last, but I really have been wanting to go lately. We'll see I guess.

I hear you. I have an almost five month old, and my wife and I are already getting the crackhead itch for WDW.

We're planning on DLR next year, since the smaller / walkable space is an easier first trip. But I'm not thinking it's going to be a ton of fun.

Adventureland suite at the Disneyland Hotel.

Had a blast at Disneyland this last weekend. Tried to do most of the 24 hours but the kids wanted to go back to the hotel. Got some decent pictures because the cloud cover over disneyland this past weekend really helped to highlight the attractions.

Yeah. Kinda lucked into it but that's a story for another day. Needless to say, it's been a dream of mine to just stay at the Disneyland Hotel, and this was my first time. Probably my best visit to Disneyland ever.

My gf and I are going the week before Halloween week. We went in May our other two times so we're looking forward to experiencing it with all of the Halloween stuff and checking out the International Food and Wine Festival. Hoping it won't be as hot and humid that time of year too.

I do wish we had known about the whole 60th anniversary of Disneyland though. We want to make the trip out there some day and I think this would have been an incentive to get us to do it now.

Really the only way in is if you know someone that's a club member or part of a special event that occurs there. I was only able to go a few years ago due to a special event. I'd love to go again one day since they refurbished it but as I do not know any members and no outlook for a special event at any point in the future then I am happy I was able to experience at least once in my life. Maybe luck will be on y'all's side and you'll be able to go (fair warning.....the price is quite expensive to dine there but the food is quite good and the experience is very very nice).

Thats pretty cool, I have always wanted to go but like you don't know any members. I actually don't even know anyone has has been. Cool that you got to go.

Oh Awesome.. me and My wife went there a couple years ago in May.. way too hot...we went mid November this year and it was 82 degrees the first day.. 65 the second... then dipped down to 36 degrees for two days..then back up to 70's. I am hoping for 60-75 degrees in October/November (Going 10/31-11/5)

Since you are going in October,You might want to check out Halloween Horror Night (HHN) at Universal Studios. Excellent stuff!

Just got back from WDW. Great trip, as always. Had a great time at the Rebel Hangar, where we got to meet Sabine and Ezra. Second shot is a blinker, but shows off Ezra's crazy-accurate eyes!

3 weeks left until my family gets 8 days in WDW and 3 in Universal. Last time my boys got hooked on the whole pin-trading, so I've got 300+ pins from eBay ready to go for them.

Glad you're spending time in Universal. I walked away being much more satisfied with my time at Universal than I did at Disney World. I spent at least 6 hours in Diagon Alley but could have done more!



More from Disneyland's 60th..

Paint the Night Electrical Parade is the new night time parade. Disneyland hasn't had one of these since they sent their original Electrical Parade to Disney World, and they haven't had a new offering since 1997's failed Light Magic Streetacular.

Many of the floats also debuted in Hong Kong Disneyland but there's an extra Frozen float in the Disneyland version.

Yeah, upper 60s to mid 70s without the humidity would be perfect. Did you do the International Food and Wine Festival at Epcot?

Here's some pics of the new DISNEYLAND FOREVER fireworks spectacular. The show uses projection mapping throughout the park but mostly on Main Street and has a new song by Richard Sherman at the end.

Sweet! My family and I are going in three weeks as well. Only doing two days at Universal though, we were there last year. Had a blast, The Harry Potter addition is amazing!

Did you just buy the random pins that are sold , like the 50 piece lots etc? I'd like my two kids to do this as well.
