Still more to come...

Great pictures guys! Since I'm in San Diego I try to go to Disneyland for a few days every other month. Anyone planning on going for the 24hrs on Feb 29th?

Thanks for all the kind words!

I put down my vacation days for Feb 29 and March 1st so yes, I WILL attempt!

Here's more pitchas!

Small World during the holidays are a lit up

Periodically there will be a light show on the front and it's really cool to see! This is just one of the patterns.

Over at Star Tours (they celebrated 25 years yesterday). I saw this sign on a door. I know it's for transferring the disabled but I couldn't help think that miracles happen behind the door.

Good old Captain Rex!
DL01082012_0023.jpg

There was shirts for the 25 years sold only to annual passholders

And pins for everyone else:

File this under WTF. Using walt's image to sell a hat. I actually don't mind the Walt image... but the text is really poorly executed.

More pics to come!

Really nice evening shots! It's hard to take a bad picture on the Disney properties, such a colorful and well maintained environment..

Over in Frontierland, they're celebrating THREE KINGS DAY January 6-8 and had these large statues on display. I believe this is the first time they're celebrating this.

In this picture below, the upstairs window is part of Club 33. Directly below, there's the entrance to Blue Bayou restaurant (lit doors) and to the right is a darker door that is the entry to Club 33.

I thought this sign was funny... Caution: Breakdancing

Awesome pics folks, I'm planning a trip with my wife and 5 year old daughter for late Feb early March this year. My daughter is 45 inches tall, just one more inch (or platform shoes) and she can go on the INDY ride with us:panic:

...hurry up kid grow!

If she can't, then you can take turns doing the Single Rider line perhaps.

:lol:lol:lol

And yeah that Walt hat is hideous. I like Walt on merch, like the Walt and Mickey on Main St:

products_waltandmickey.jpg

And I love the WDW merch that involves Walt and the construction of the park, like the Vision poster.

But that hat... that's just brutal.

^Yah, that's so much better, Cokebabies. They're also selling photos of Walt during his Disneyland days with mock-autographs. I think that's fine but... the hat.... wow. really bad.

I tell a lie, though - I actually don't like that shirt very much. But my issue with it is the design, or most likely due to my not loving white shirts. I also think non-close up, Walt is completely lost in it.

But they have that image on like 10 items - magnets, mugs, keychains, pins, etc. I like that pic on all of those.

Hehe yah, I'm not a fan of it ON the t-shirt but I do like the original photograph.

Alright, closing out with a few more photos...

There's a new Bakery in town and it's called the Jolly Holiday Bakery. It occupies a spot that was a restaurant back in the day and then became an Annual Pass processing location. And then became nothing. Well, finally, it's back to being a food location! Loosely themed to Mary Poppins of course.

Penguins are the more heavily featured here
DL01082012_0040.jpg

This design can be found on a wall, a small tribute to the art that was there when Stouffers sponsored the restaurant. The tile art was still there when construction began but unfortunately, was accidentally destroyed.
DL01082012_0039.jpg

You can get assorted coffees, pastries, sandwiches and salads at the location. Here's a Matterhorn Macaroon...
DL01082012_0007.jpg

And now it's time to leave...

That's it for this trip! I'm already having withdrawals!

p.s. Cokebabies, the People Mover shirt also exists at WDW I found but instead of the Disneyland People Movers, it has the Walt Disney World Tomorrowland Transit Authority / Wedway Peoplemover vehicles. Were you still interested in the DL version?

Hm, in that case I'm going to roll the dice and hope the TTA shirt is still available when I go in June. I'd think it will be, but you never know with them. The best shirts go away fast, and they keep ugly designs around for 9 years.

But I'm WDW at heart, so TTA is more my style.

I figured as much, which is why I thought I ask! Here's what that one looks like:

I personally like the added color of Disneyland's but I like differences like that. Glad they made them different rather than making the same old thing for both parks.

Where is everybody in those pictures? I guess this is the slow season now?

Well, I did wait until close to midnight for most of those shots and also used a slow shutter speed. What happens is that the people walking in the shot virtually disappear.

Hm, I do prefer DLR's. With the mostly shades of blue WDW design, it looks very similar to my WDW monorail shirt.

I will have to mull over my decision.

I forgot to post this picture.... it's a hidden thing in the Little Mermaid attraction.

MR. LIMPETT!

Coheteboy,

Amazing pics. As a Disney head, I love it.

Couple questions...

1) What camera and/or lens are you using, especially to get some amazing night shots you've done?

2) Do you know if those Tom Morrow shirts are available online?
