Quick tip for anyone who doesn't know (I have ZERO idea how well known this fact is, so this could be obvious to many): Roger Rabbit's FastPasses operate off a different system than the rest of the park. So even if it says you can't get another FP for an hour, you can get one for Roger Rabbit immediately.

Yes, this is correct! And the standby line for Roger Rabbit is usually so brutally long that it's totally worth getting the fast pass for this one. But it's also the ride sooooo far out there that walking anywhere else to get a fast pass only to come back in 50 minutes isn't that worth it. So we grabbed the fast pass, played in Toon town and rode Small World and got on in no time.

p.s. when i wrote the plural of ball for the Fried Biscuits, i got censored... but nutsacks was completely okay. :yess:

OOOKAY, back to dinner. I ordered the Taster's Menu which is $60 and comes with this delicious Crab appetizer

Filet Mignon (medium rare) served with roasted potatoes on a bed of pulled pork?!!! Wow.

For dessert, I had a Rocky Road brownie Sundae... i forgot to take a picture with my normal camera so you'll just have to go to my instagram @coheteboy to find it.

After dinner we raced back into Disneyland to make our 9pm fast pass to Space Mountain. We watched the fireworks while waiting in line for the Tomorrowland Railroad.. the best place to get on and see the Primeval World!

Grand Canyon Diorama

Nice Beaver!

And then... back to the age of the dinosaurs!

It's 9:40pm and here's a look at the entrances..
DL_05242013_288.jpg

We exited at the New Orleans Railroad station and queued up for the Haunted Mansion... boarded around 10:20pm
DL_05242013_298.jpg

as soon as we exited the ride, it was time for the last showing of Fantasmic!

I'll spare you guys the pics of Fantasmic! except for a few.. (mostly because they didn't come out very well). Key difference between Disneyland and Disney's Hollywood Studios... Kaa vs Jafar. I personally prefer the drum jungle beat featuring Kaa and the monkeys over the bubbles segment.
DL_05242013_307.jpg

I also enjoy seeing a bunch of pirates and Peter Pan vs Captain Hook over a scene from Pocahontas.
DL_05242013_337.jpg

And last but not least... a much better dragon.

It's now 10:50pm and we headed out of New Orleans Square to Adventureland to check out the Enchanted Tiki Room. Actual start time, closer to 11:25pm.

More tomorrow!

The two headed Monsters University charcter is Terri and Terry Perry. :)

Thanks! They were handing out tickets to see Monsters University at the Downtown Disney AMC Friday morning in front of the Monsters Inc ride from 6am-9am... too bad I didn't find out until too late. They only had one preview showing.

Okay back!!!

It's now close to midnight on the 24 hour day... 6 more hours to go! Disney had scheduled a slate of late night activities, one of such was a Pajama party in Toon Town.

Well.. it wasn't much of a party. But you could listen to awful karaoke..
DL_05242013_449.jpg

And meet the Fab Five in their Pajamas.
DL_05242013_453.jpg

Last year, you lined up in a colossal line and got all the characters in one go. This time, you waited in individual lines and that's kind of a waste.

Simultaneously going on in Toon Town, Tomorrowland was having its own late night meet & greet..... with the exact same characters... but in Star Wars outfits.

The star wars costumes is a rare sighting in CA so that was a nice treat.

At 2am (and 3am and 4am) there was a listing on the schedule as a Castle Lighting Ceremony. Well... that was much ado about absolutely nothing. It was wrong sounding Mike & Sulley arguing about what color to make the castle. "Blue!" "Green!" In Sleeping Beauty fashion. And it lasted a minute. The blue wasn't even very blue and the green wasn't even very green.

We wasted time for an hour and boarded Alice in Wonderland at 3am and then Mr. Toad's at 3:14am.
DL_05242013_497.jpg

Pirates was done at 4:20..
DL_05242013_501.jpg

And then wasted more time in Tomorrowland watching the characters. I took this picture at about 5am
DL_05242013_517.jpg

And here's the line at 5:15am for Star Tours... 15 minutes long.

6:02amThe characters are out to say good bye
DL_05242013_530.jpg

But they really should have looked like this!
DL_05242013_530zzz.jpg

6:07am, we did it! My second 24 hour trip. It wasn't as crazy as the leap year party but I think I'll have to do this every time they offer it!

After seeing all of your pics I definitely want to visit Disneyland sometime. I've never been to the West Coast.

I'm going to go through my Universal Studios pics and post some of those here later.

Incredible pictures! ! I want to go back after looking through all of your pictures! !

I took SOME pictures of my 20th anniversary dreams merchandise. Everything is mint.

So Coheteboy, have you created that blog yet? I would like to go to a site where I can just view your pictures. Tired of shifting through this thread looking for your pictures =)

We pretty much just spent our time in the Harry Potter section but I took a few pics of some other stuff we passed on the way.

We did go to the Marvel section but I didn't go on any of the rides because they were each at least a 40 minute wait.

Was there any movement in the new simpsons area when you went down? I was there in september and seemed like they were building a krusty burger and moes tavern.

Haha I don't I'm afraid. You can follow me on Instgram if you want @coheteboy but it's just smaller versions of the pics I post here, and some other things I encounter.

And great pics, Blue Rogue I really need to go to that.. OR just wait until Hollywood opens it up over here and compare the differences.

I wish I could give you some info but we only visited the Islands of Adventure Park.

The Simpsons area is open now as far as I know. It's basically a massive food court with smaller rooms that resemble the individual locations in the front. Still, pretty cool.

I think they're still finishing up the river front section.

In Hollywood news, there's talk that Doc Brown's Fried Chicken is going away. Perhaps we'll be getting our version of Simpsons town here?
