Was ANH Leia the victim of a bad paint job?

Carrie is definitely there in the sculpt. As I speculated before, it does seem like they just changed the hair on the Boussh sculpt and Ms. Fisher was much slimmer in Jedi than ANH thus it's not as great a representation of her as the PF.

However I think that people that say they can't see ANY resemblance are deluding themselves and have crap covered glasses on.

I am not sure I understand the griping just yet. I know people can be dissatisfied when they get the item in hand, but it seems a little early to be passing judgment. I try to wait until I have it in hand, because pictures never do collectibles justice either for good or ill. Some things photograph well, but in person are met with a "meh" response, or sometimes pictures look less than stellar, but in hand the figure amazes.

Sideshow has a pretty handy return policy if the actual piece doesn't meet your expectations though.

Amen to that. The SSC proto pics even looked different once blown up in Hi Res so it's silly to speculate on the final product at this stage.

However I should point out the CIV display pics of her were fairly close to the proto images, and in those her forehead sculpt and the way her hair lays over it seems a bit off compared to the PF. But again, speculation, best to reserve judgment until the fig is in hand.
