Little behind in this thread, but that was hilarious.

As for the character banners, doesn't
ozy's banner
really spoil the end for people who havne't read it?

No need for spoilertags in this thread.:lol

But I don't think so, it only makes sense in context, and if you see the first bit of the movie you will probably just think of his 'retiring early' gig.

They should've made it brighter. So people wont think he's the "bad guy" in the story.

It's fine. I don't think anyone could determine anything about the plot from those taglines. I've not heard any "hey, that must be the villain" from those who don't know the story. And besides, he's not a traditional "bad guy" anyway.

He looks like a villian in that pic to me. But hey, i'm just using my "NON FANDAR" view looking at it.

He looks like a villain because why? He has a mask on? Rorschach does too and looks far more sinister, imo. And the Dr. M one has a quote about life being overrated. :huh Plus the trailer has the Rorschach "I'll say no" line in it which seems like a jerky "bad guy" thing to say. I haven't seen anything released so far that seems plot spoilerish.

Its dark, moody, his face has a sorta "Evil Mastermind look" to him. And I'm looking at this picture....

Nah. I'm not getting that at all from the picture objectively.

And most people who know nothing about the book are assuming Rorschach and/or Manhattan may be the bad guys from the trailers and stuff so far.

Before I read the book or saw the 2nd trailer, I thought that Dr. Manhattan was the villian, and that poster with the tagline of life being overrated would have only reconfirmed that suspicion.

Blowing some random dude in the trailer probably reinforces that conclusion, which depending on the ending could actually prove correct.

:sick

I know he doesn't wear pants and that might've influenced your response, but unless you saw a different trailer, I assume you meant blowing away. :monkey1

Before I read the graphic novel, I thought Dr. Manhattan was the villain. No reason, just thought he was.

There's a new "First Look: WATCHMEN" video playing at AMC Theatres across the country right now. It's basically a 2 minute EPK with Snyder, but it includes some new footage (Manhattan shaking hands with JFK, Manhattan at the TV studio, new Rorschach stuff, and new stuff with Nite Owl and The Comedian during the riots). Here's a bootleg on YouTube (with VERY bad audio):

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/lVwh4b2KGX4&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="https://www.youtube.com/v/lVwh4b2KGX4&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Even with the bad audio and fuzzy video, the exchange between Nite Owl and The Comedian at the Keene Riots gives me funny feelings in the nether regions.

"What happened to the American dream?"

"It came true! You're lookin' at it." (in front of an American flag painted wall)

I get evil from it. But thats just my graphic designing instinct. (just from past posters/pics...ect)

Dark + Moody + Angry determined face, with mask = Evil.
