It drives me crazy they didn't do that and drop the balloons, because it's the only thing stopping this from being a full-blooded Watchmen cartoon. So close!!!

Sometimes wishful thinking doesn't lead to good things. I would NOT want a Watchmen cartoon. The bastardization of Watchmen has to stop somewhere.

Home Alone with Rorshach was my favorite.

I watched the Prison Break scene from the movie via BD-Live on the Blu-ray, and I was left wondering why Rorschach was in prison in his costume...

I don't know, I liked the Indiana Jones
and Mushroom Cloud one. He's just kinda
there wandering around. :D

If anyone hasn't checked out the full gallery,
(to quote Arnold from Predator)
"DEW IT NOWWW!" :rotfl

given the fact that I read the 12-issue miniseries in its original run before writing my college senior thesis on it, I admit that my expectations were as high as anyone else’s.

So now that there’s a “Watchmen” movie, it’s disappointing to report that there was probably never a good way to make a “Watchmen” movie.

That seals it right there. He is a diehard. Diehards will always knitpick and make sure to find errors and things wrong with beloved materals, tis their nature.

Half of them. The other half will defend anything to the death and insist the film is a masterpiece. But it's interesting to see the reviews start to trickle out. The geek outlets (I would actually include EW in this) are predictably ebullient but the attitude seems to be more negative the nearer we get to the mainstream. Variety and The Hollywood Reporter slated it.

I'm very interested to hear what Ebert thinks.

The problem is that the Internet age has reduced everything to love/hate. It's either the best movie ever or the worst movie ever. There's no room for the middle ground. To be honest I think Watchmen is probably an 8/10 in geek terms and a 6/10 in neutral cinema terms.

a ps3 demo of the watchmen game came out today with an option to download the full game as well!! probably be as poor as the movies meant to be!!:D

FYI...Roger Ebert gave Watchmen four stars (his highest rating)

I know many consider him a washed up hack, but I'm always interested to hear what he has to say. There's no denying that he's the best know and most well respected film critic out there.
