I was searching my pre-orders with SS yesterday and was very happy when I stumbled on my orders for T-1000, T-800 excls. I hurridly checked and found the Ex Sarah Conner was still available!!!! YEAH! :chew

Congrats man, gotta have all three Exclusives...

An ES of 650 for the Sarah Conner Exclusive! That's what I call a good edition size! Makes collecting more fun. But, if SSC sets the edition size for such an item so low, it generally means that there was little interest, and they couldn't make more money out of it... She's still not sold out.

That was my thought too. I had one on order but cancelled due to lack of funds.

Surprising to me as a Terminator fan, but I guess that movie is like 15 years old now so... times change.

I'm so glad SS made one of her, this one in particular, but I believe we all can kiss the possibility of other Sarahs goodbye. We may not even get a battle-damamged T-1000 or T-800 if the line does this poorly.

The Terminator may have been terminated.

Just makes her that much more collectible IMO, just wanted her badly, she's finally been made, has a great sculpt and she's coming soon. It's all good news to me.

I totally agree. I do like low ES. Its a rare thing these days with SW figures. And I'm very glad to be one of only 650 people with this figure.

I'm just surprised there's not more of a fan base. And I'm concerned that like many other lines that have sunk this low in their ES, it won't make financial sense for SS to go any further with this line.

Too bad these figures took a year in the pipeline. In that time, I've read many, many people canceling their orders. If SS could have brought these out about 6 months ago, the ES might have been higher.

And an interesting example of how certain things appeal to different generations. One of the reasons why the POTA line did so poorly because it was a nearly 40 year old franchise that appealed specifically to adults who remembered it from their childhood and collected the old Megos. But even with a blockbuster like T2, a 16 year old film should have a broader appeal. I still think that Sideshow isn't doing enough to market and promote most of their licenses. We know for a fact that many Highlander fans are not even aware of the 12" license and mostly stick to collecting high-end props and a lack of interesting figures didn't help it. I wish that Sideshow would de-emphasize Star Wars a bit and not make it the centerpiece of the company. Still, they may be making Sarah low intentionally so that her secondary value will increase over the years as collectors are forced to go "looking for Sarah Connor."

True it's been 15 years, but Connor and Ripley are THE action chicks, no other compare. Plus this is the first REAL action figure of Sarah Connor.

Somehow i doubt Sideshow is going to de-emphasize their meal ticket Dave. But not to worry, according to Homer the Star wars line will be dead soon enough.:rotfl

I still want Sarah from the first film with the big 80's hair. Unfortunately, it's not as exciting as Rambo Sarah with the assault rifle and flak jacket. Hot Toys could do her since they have the license to the first film but I just don't see her selling and if T2 Sarah was limited to 650 then T1 Sarah would have to be even lower. Much lower.

Well Chicky did say that most lines were "resting" i.e. NOT DEAD so we will have to wait and see. Hopefully Toy Fair will bring some hope for the future of existing licenses although I'm not holding my breath.

Yeah, it seems like SS is trying to expand in new directions rather than remain with older lines. Bobbleheads, WoW, etc.

Perhaps they'll try one last 12" Terminator -- a battle-damaged T-800 from T2 probably has the best chance at being a popular item. Other than that, who knows if they'll continue. Only time will tell.

I'm glad we at least got the three keys figures to have a good T2 display. If the line ended, I'd still be happy. I can always customize the other versions of these characters from what has been given.

I'd still like a John Connor both the kid and the Future War John Connor. A donut-hole HS variant of the T-1000 would be nice too.

I doubt John Connor will be made. Just based on the sales of Sarah, and she comes with more interesting gear than little John would.

I'd love to see the "hole-head" T-1000... but you probably could make that with the current sculpt and a very hot poker. :D

This is exactly how I feel, but the T2 line may be over, not because of any lack of interest or enthusiasm from SSC...

However, ANYONE who does T1 figs will be rewarded handsomely if a new 12" line is done by HT for example because this is THE classic Terminator film. A Punk "Technoir" Terminator (or eye-gouged light up eye flea-bag hotel Terminator), Reese, Big hair 80s strawberry swirl t-shirt Sarah and classic Endo will be the censored IMO!

We can only hope.

Oh yeah, I forgot, we also have that HT Endo coming at some point! That will really add to this SS T2 trio.

I have an old Horizon vinyl kit of the T-1000 that comes with the "split head". Its 1/5 scale I think, but I wonder if that head would work? I also have a great garage kit of the "hole-head" T-1000 that's 1/6th -- I suppose I could always hack it off and make my own SS custom version.

Sarah's coming fairly soon...

Anyone know what kind of shotgun she used in the final battle scene with the T 1000?

I don't think the delay would be much a factor in cancellations, if anything it gives you time to save, but the trouble is, how many of Sideshow's 1/6 collectors are Star Wars fans and big collectors of that, and those people may be putting Star Wars ahead of other lines so the delay could land other lines amidst a big outpouring of SW items, such as the Probes and Jabba package coming now with Legolas and the first 2 Terminator figures, with Boromir likely around the corner from LOTR. I think the best bet would be to coordinate releases so that there is breather room between lines, maybe a month or two between a major ammount of SW releases and the other 1/6 items.
