Well, all this discussion has forced me to watch the special features on my T2 DVD. There is a specific section that details the weapons used in the movie by character. The shotgun Linda Hamilton uses is indeed NOT a SPAS-12. It is according to the DVD a Police model Remington A70. In the movie, if you pause it, you can see many times that the profile and details of the weapon are not that of a SPAS. In addition, Sideshow lists her coming with an M4 but it should actually be an XM177 as that is the carbine she uses.

And I never knew the futursitic weapons the Endos use in the future war sequences were working weapons as well, built around Calico submachine guns.

Whew.

Good work Ambac! Now we have the definitive answer. Too much bogus info on all of the other sites. It's easy to see how they could have mistaken
them though. Maybe somebody should update Wiki with the corrected info as well.

Heh! I think we've collectively burned way too many brain cells on pointless info. Damn the Internet! Damn it to hell!:lol

In the little 8 min life on a set doc on the DVD it shows her practicing with the shotgun. It's doesn't have she shell strips on top, but the shotgun looks the same as in the ending.

Assuming John was born in 1984 (or could be '85 depending on which month Reese knocked up Sarah in the Tiki Motel), and we know the Future War in T1 is set in 2029, and assuming Kyle didn't meet John until just before he was sent back in the Time Displacement, we would have to conclude that he must have been 45 when he met a 'younger' Kyle.

Correct Dave! John was 45 when he met Kyle Reese. John told this to the T 800 when recalling a conversation with his Mother...

And Thanks ambac and all...

I don't want to drag this out any more, but I think the DVD may actually have a typo! I've looked on the web and can find no info on a Remington A70 shotgun! I think it IS a Remington 870! Someone's key stroke must have slipped! Seems likely, right? Right?

please don't throw stones at me:lol

I googled A70 and nothing came up, it's a Remington 870 Police model with wood pump action grip which I can't find 1 ref photo of, I think that's as close as we'll get...

I would like to see ONE pic of this real world gun...

QUESTION:

Does anyone know if the Sarah head will come with a proportionate molded neck as one piece (as it should be) or are we getting the lollipop proto, HS on a stick?

And anyone from SSC feel free to chime in here...

Wa-Hoo! I just got my Sarah Connor figure! She's awesome!

Oh wait, sorry, just practicing. :D

I have no idea about the neck. I would imagine its the neck that comes with the female body. Not sculpted. But only the production pictures know for sure.

Thanks Evil,
Sarah was pretty slender in the film, I guess it will be ok as long as it's not too disproportionate. The HT Vasquez is like that, head on a neck and looks pretty good but her HS is in proportion with the neck...

she's just like your other female dolls, head on a neck post.

I wish I was more of an engineer, because I would love to make new doll bodies that were more proportionate and could accomodate a sculpted neck for girls. unfortunately, there's a LOT of thinking involved in a doll body. I don't do so well with THINKING. ;) no no no...I louse it up

the current body almost always makes the heads feel huge...
Trev

Is the head ball jointed? If not, then it would be better even if there wasn't neck articulation, to have a wider neck that runs from the the figure head as it should.

Thanks Trev, great sculpt, I've been waiting for the first sixth scale Sarah Connor for a long time, so stoked you could make it happen for us!

Yeah really!
I wondered why she was so deadon! Trev to the rescue! :lol
And in T2, she wasn't thin, but seriously FIT! No body fat! Nowadays...she's a tad thin...

Terminator: Sarah Connor 12-inch figure - #8304 & Ex. #83041 Now 2nd Qtr 2006

Oh my God ... Sideshow is travelling back in time to bring us this wonderful figure BEFORE the terminators can reach John ... its pure genius. "Come with me if you want to be collectible....."

Checking back on the Sarah pictures on the SSC site, made me realize how much I'd like to have a 1/6 T1 Sarah, before she knew what was coming... Completely 80ties: Farah Fawcett hair and stone washed jeans. Exclusive item? Of course it's pugsley, Sarah's pet iguana.
The T2 Sarah rocks, but it's not the same, is it?

I decided to get some accessories to make a Pescadero Sarah too, she was also ponytailed in some sequences there... so I will get sweat pants (already have the T shirt) and I'll pick up a baton. This was also the first time Sarah encountered the T 800 and fought the T 1000 in the film (hook arms/elevator gunfire) so it's all good...

And remember the T 1000 crushed the T 800's shades there so you can pose Ahnuld with and without shades...

I'm also getting metal hand cuffs, keys and cuff pouch for the T 1000, if anyone wants them PM me and I'll give you a link.

EDIT: btw, the closest gun I could find for Sarah is the HT Hicks shot gun, if you threw a metal stock with shells on top, it might be close enough for posing... but Sarah had long hair in that scene so maybe SSC will do another set.
