Shipping from NZ sounds like a lot, has Weta been known to do that before? Definitely send them your order confirmation. That at least should strengthen your case. Hope it works out for you, this is still my fav ME environment.

Well, looks like weta lost my order or never had stock to begin with and are now sold out at all 3 warehouses. Not sure when they were going to let me know, it had been 3 weeks before I inquired. Not very happy right now, I was already upset with them about how they handled my Smaug...

No explanation yet, though I asked for one. It was still in stock at 2 out of the 3 of the warehouses when I ordered.

They said they just oversold them, they must have taken a lot of orders after mine too though, I checked for many days after I ordered and it was still up. Even with a refund I am probably still out the ~$20 currency fee from my card.

He is the one I am talking to. Hopefully he can add a few extra weta dollars when I get the refund or give me a discount on something else. This piece was also going to keep me gold collector for another year, don't know that I will get that with the other stuff I want now. The Smaug bust is probably the only other thing I want right now.

I was offered one with minor issues for a discount due to them screwing up my order, then instead of getting pics like they said they would they had a "team discussion" and decided to not sell any damaged barad-dur pieces and asked if I would be "happy" with a refund???

I spent well over $1k with them last year and planned to do more, but we shall see.

I share this story often. I placed an order for a John Howe bronze, they raised the price several thousand dollars (to 6900), took a 1000 dollar deposit, kept it for a year, and then told me they couldn't make the bronzes anymore. This made me sell almost all of my Weta collection. I feel your pain.
