I know I can google it but, I don't even get the concept of digital sculpting, do they actually have a digital lump of clay that they chip away with using a mouse?

From what I understand this is kind of the readers digest definition of it.

I would think getting proportion correct would be very difficult this way. Its amazing that this seems to be a "shortcut" from traditional clay methods. I would think it was harder and maybe it is for the sculptor but the digital model makes prototyping much easier.

From what I've seen sculptors say in interviews it is easier for them once they get it down. I would think the programs probably help make sure the proportions are correct.

I'm in more anticipation about recieving this piece, in fact more than any other ME piece I can ever remember. That says a lot about how I feel in regards to this masterpiece

I'm really looking forward to this as well. Azog looks amazing, but it's the Warg that really puts this piece over the top for me - the detail is crazy. I also like the more wolf-like design of the wargs in The Hobbit than those in LOTR. If a stand alone statue or PF (won't hold my breath) is made I'm sure they will be cool, but Azog The Defiler on Warg is the total package.:rock

I'm starting to get money together in the unlikely event that my waitlist gets fullfied for this. I'd feel like dirt if they sent me an e-mail saying they had one, and then I didn't have the money for it.

Man, could you imagine Azog on a Warg in PF. It would be at least the size of DROM.

This defiantly is a masterpiece.

I'm in agreement with you all that the Azog on Warg is one of the best Middle-earth pieces produced. Such fantastic detail, movement of the piece, and the sheer size of it are off the charts good.

Melt the flesh clean off your bones. :rotfl

Looks like someone got an early look..
