Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at printers now!

Ok,

Money-wise I'm good to go, but, I want to hold off paying till any concerns about the size of the heads have been cleared up.

I still think they're too small, but, I want to know what the general consensus is.

So, c'mon guys, speak up, let me know what you think....

From the comparison picture next to the joker head and the TT, the head does look a bit small. However, the hat is half the head. So, as long as it's at LEAST as big as the HT head, I'm good with it. I'm not using a muscle body, so I think it'll be a better fit if you're not going with that stock body. A pic next to a known object like a quarter would probably have been best. Maybe the caster has something to show scale more.

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at printers now!

Thanks for your input,

I'm not just in this for myself, I just want to make sure that everyone gets the Indy they want. It's been a long time coming!

Hopefully we'll get some clarification soon...

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at printers now!

I just quickly made this really crappy comparison. I don't think the size is too far off. I think the giraffe neck is giving the illusion of the head being too small. A different body will also make a difference.

Cool comp! Also, no neck-hole has been drilled in the head at that point so the head is solid resting on top of the neck.

BTW- The Indy heads are at the mold makers being molded now (as of yesterday). :)

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at printers now!

Yes, great paste-up. It's hard to tell for sure on the size. The consensus on the other heads seems to be that the HT one is a little undersized, and the SSC heads a little oversized. So hopefully these WGP heads are somewhere between those two.

I guess maybe if someone can post a side-by-side of the HT Joker and HT Indy heads we can do another paste-up and then we'll know? :slap

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at printers now!

I'm not convinced yet,

We need to see them on bodies with hats with other heads or indeed Indy heads next to them for true comparison.

Perhaps when you get one back you could loan one to somebody that has the right figures.

There's no denying they're great sculpts, but, they should be 100% what we all want and we need to be sure of that before going any further with the project.

I've already paid, but I agree that we don't want these unbelievable pieces of work to be ruined by something as fixable as scale - and I'm not saying there is anything wrong with the scale at this point, it's just unclear until good comparisons can be shown.

Make no mistake, these have the potential to be "the" Indy heads for collectors going forward for the next several years, so this should be done right. It's that important - customizers and collectors have been looking for this quality for years.

And if there's a precedent with the Daniel Craig head in terms of fixing a slight scale problem, then great.

These need to be somewhere between the HT head (which everyone seems to agree is a little undersized) and the SSC heads (which everyone seems to agree are a little oversized.)

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at printers now!

Well, I have the DC head in hand and it's perfect. It's not like a normal sculpt you see, as the original is stored on a computer, adjustments can be made ad infinitum and can be sent very quickly to the printer.

If alterations are needed then they can be done. Ok, they may take more time, but, if it gets us what we want then I'm sure we're prepared to wait.

HT didn't listen and look what we got...

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at printers now!

It actually looks pretty good to me size wise.

Problems with the picture - Top of Indy's head is gone so it makes it look smaller.

It's on an Advanced TT so it makes it look smaller...

And it is setting too high on the neck so that makes it look off.

I dropped the joker head over Indy in PS and the t zones line up so it seems to be in size with HT.

Keeping an eye on this one :) Still thinking of picking up HT Indy now.

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at printers now!

I'm little bit confused.
Does it fits HT Indy body perfectly?
Coz I don't know what to do!
1) Send them directly to an artist to paint?
2) Or send them to me to drill them the way I like to have it.
It won't be a problem if I lived in USA, but I'm not and the shipping is pretty expensive to pay 3 times. )))
Really, it would be very-very nice to see two pic. of this head on HotToys new muscular, frond and side views. Please!

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at printers now!

That is what we're waiting to see, the trouble is that WGP don't have that body on site, but the caster might......

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at printers now!

We've all had patience on this. It'll be worth the wait to get it right. I'm sure news will be forthcoming soon.

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at printers now!

@WST - The prints look fantastic. I expected to see more flash and cleanup areas but it looks like just the one side of the hat needs work.

I was just looking back at the thread, I don't see the wait list. Did you get me down for a traditional Indy?
