Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at printers now!

Yeah, I'm still not convinced, we need to see them next to other heads and see body shots with them looking straight ahead so we can judge neck length.

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at printers now!

We know they do not answer anything about the size and we've asked Dorgmal for better ones ourselves.

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at printers now!

So far I'm getting pretty excited. It's so nice to finally see an Indy with the proper tight Raiders pinch and brim curl!! :D

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at printers now!

Even if they are a touch small they look killer. That smiling head is amazing. So pumped.

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at printers now!

I hope Mark doesn't mind but I think this may help with size comparison. I imagine that the wooden dowels are the same thickness so it should give you an idea of the size in comparison to the Sideshow head.

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at printers now!

Mmm, still not fully convinced. Only official pics are going to show us what we really need to see.

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at printers now!

Any thoughts on the WGP fedora? Better than SSC/HT? I guess until side-by-side pics are available, hard to tell.

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at printers now!

It looks really good to me, the crown on the SSC one isn't high enough but it looks about right on the WGP one.

The thing with the Indy outfit is that the shirt collar is quite big and could overemphasise the head being too small. It's very noticeable with the HT head, but not so much with the SSC head.

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at printers now!

Likeness looks fantastic. Size is looking a little smallish. Hopefully it's the angle. Can't they just set it beside the ht head for side by side comparison. I know the digital sculpts is not an exact science, it's not like you punch in 1:6 and get an auto scale.

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at printers now!

Adjusting the size of a digital sculpt is a lot easier though. You can still preserve the original sculpt whereas, with more traditional methods, you'd have to re-do the entire head from scratch.

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at printers now!

well actually, the way we sized his head was that we took a HT head - measured the space between the centre of each eye (because at this scale that measurement is the one that changes the least), and measured the width of the head (end of the jaw/ear notch) and matched these measurements on Indy

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at printers now!

Umm, ok,

So, does this mean that the WGP head is the same size as the DX head or bigger, because bigger would be better. Somewhere between the DX and the SSC would be the ideal size.

We really, really need proper comparison pics

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at printers now!

I think we'll see a painted head very shortly , I've seen how fast Mark works ( Dorgmal) so we could see something this evening. :) Mark also has several different bodies so if we ask nicely he may take some pics of the head on these various bodies.

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at printers now!

That's good to know,

At least with this Indy sculpt we get to see it at key stages rather than what HT did where they practically said, "That's it, that's what you're getting and we're not doing any more.".

..and here I was hoping it would be a little bigger then the hot toys head.:(
