Almost done with the Witcher book, 'Season of Storms.' I am loving it. Considering its a side adventure, it's good. I hope he writes more like this one.
Anytime a writer revisits a world 10 plus years later, I am always worried whether the book will feel out of place. Writers' styles change. They get older, more mellow, or less. The only annoying thing for me: I've had to use the dictionary more for this one than all his other books combined. He uses big words now. Or I'm dumb. LOL. But the characters feel the same. The Banter is great. Occasionally Geralt will say something odd like, 'It is I..' which strikes me as odd. Those moments are few and far between. Its Geralt, and Dandelion.
But, the book is really good. Its kinda like a Witcher 3 side mission that starts small but turns into a series of unfortunate events. I am going so slow with this one knowing there are no more books in the series. I've now read them all.
Going to re-read Blood of Elves next. Guess I am on the Witcher's "D" big time right now. lol
I really wish I spoke/read Polish. As good as the English translations are, and they are good, always heard its even better in its original Polish. But hell no. I thought Spanish was hard in High School. LOL
