Loved it. Saw it 3 times and love it more each time. Need to see this in 3D once. But I keep thinking about it and that is what makes Star Wars great: thinking about events that happened and what the future will bring. I love the new characters (especially Rey and Kylo Ren) and hope the next two films deliver as much delight as TFA did. Great job by all involved! My love of Star Wars hasn't been this high since 1983.

It was very good, not great! Kylo/Driver stole the show for me, was how Anakin from the PT shoulda been IMO.

I like all the Rey scenes. She saved the movie for me. Finn was unnecessary and bordering on JarJar territory. More Poe Dameron next time, JJ.

Wow, based on the critical reviews I figured that this might be how the poll turned out but nice to see nonetheless. Really puts any current and future nitpicking/bashing into perspective. :)

Ah, a good old fashioned SW film with state of the art effects. This will be a day long remembered.

It was ok. I hated what they did with Luke. I'll change my ok rating to it being great or hating it depending on how the subsequent movies play out with why he did what he did. It seemed to undermine his character and his victory over the Empire and the Darkside in the OT.

Everything else was very enjoyable. I loved Rey. I liked Finn. BB-8 was comic relief well done. Kylo was ok. Han freaking Solo was great to see in action one last time. His death wasn't as chump-like as expected from spoilers.

But the Luke thing! A real possible deal breaker.

I think I liked it?

Honestly still very mixed on it. I loved the first hour or so, then THAT scene happened and it really ripped my heart out. Couldn't focus on the rest of the movie after that. I think if they had
not had Han's body fall down a bottomless pit and been able to have a brief funeral scene
it would have given me some more closure. As it was, I thought the whole end of the film stopped on a really depressing note. Even ESB, as dramatic as it was, ended with a more hopeful refrain than TFA.

New characters were awesome. It needed more of a narrative and some additional context and not another Death Star.

I think this is a movie that will be made much better by the sequels.

I went with 'it was good'.

I thought it was very entertaining and I enjoyed it a lot, but it clearly had issues that great movies don't have.

The next two films certainly have some explaining to do - about what happened with Luke and what the hell the New Republic was doing while the Empire carried on building more armies, fleets and super-weapons. The ending of ROTJ was certainly not suggestive of anything going to ***t as it has by TFA. In a way its like the alternate 1985 in Back To the Future II, a nightmarish scenario for Marty where everything that could go wrong did.

I voted 'good' so obviously I still enjoyed the film but like you my whole impression could change for the worse if they don't manage to make all of this worthwhile over the next 2 films.

Voted... It was great!

I'm thinking that a few of the items fans are saying were disappointing will be resolved come Ep.VIII.

A big part of this movie was the hunt for Luke Skywalker, so he didn't get a lot of screen time. Based on the ending, it seems he will play a much larger role as a Master and Rey as his padawan in the next episode.

Captain Phasma may come back with a vengeance. I don't know. But she seems to have some history with Finn. We'll find out.

Kylo Ren was a wuss in a lightsaber duel against Rey. I know this has been discussed to death. He was just blasted in the stomache/hip by Chewie (you could see him limping as he was walking in the snow as he met with Rey and Finn), appeared to be severely bleeding, and is no where near being a master some thought he would be. Snoke did say that he needed to complete his training. He appears to be young and hot-headed as well, bashing things with his lightsaber when he's upset. Very immature. I can't wait to see him after his training is complete.

Loved it the first time. Loved it even more the second time. Its a sublime and somber affair and a perfect starting part for this new trilogy as it leaves so many unanswered questions, you want to board a TARDIS and time travel to May 2017 so you can see Episode VIII. Gonna go again this coming weekend.

It was great!

But it wasn't perfect. Probably my biggest issue is the same as others that they didn't "set the stage" well enough in my opinion and the movie was essentially rehashing the Episode IV 'A New Hope' story-line. We had the hero-down-in-the-dumps who has a bigger Jedi destiny, we had the evil Empire, we had the super weapon, we had the droid(s), etc. etc. We even had the typical "flaw in the design" to destroy the superweapon. Seriously? The First Order didn't learn from the FIRST TWO Death Stars? I did thoroughly enjoy the better dialogue, the strong acting and the different 'take' on it all. Like it has been mentioned, I wish they dove more into setting the scene for the galaxy. How did everything fall to s*** again?

In a manner of speaking, it almost craps on everything that was set up and achieved in the Original Trilogy by recycling it all and putting our heroes in the same conundrum they were in 20-30 years ago. I hope Episode VIII dives more into the actual "fall-out" of Return of the Jedi and story behind why the galaxy had fallen back into dark times.

Maybe we'll get an Episode VI 1/2. LOL!

Looking forward to my second viewing. Went with one brother and some friends the first time, will be going with another brother at some stage, not sure when though.

Liking it less and less the more I think about it. It really is so painfully derivative as to qualify as a remake of A New Hope, simply less well executed in pretty much every aspect of filmmaking. Even the prequels had some wow moments. This film was just predictable and by-the-numbers boring. The crashed Star Destroyer and the very last scene with Luke are the only ones that excited me.

As weak as this film is, I think a good writer could salvage the series and make a great sequel if they are willing to daring.

You'll just have to buy the books and comics to find out!

Can't really go by the poll yet though. When MOS first came out, it got favouritive ratings and poll. Yet, some on here continually bash it.
