Carpeter. I do carpet and flooring. Manual labor, but I could use the money and it's not perminant. Just until I get a better job with better pay. I'm an aspiring script writer and movie director. Until I do that I'm up to my chin in carpet. I'm already working on my 2nd script though. :banana

That is great! anything about it (script) you'd like to share?

sure, why not. It's a zombie script. I'm pretty much sticking to horror. I will say that it's a breed of zombie you've never seen before. They are savages and brutal. I already have the sequel worked out in my head and the first isn't finished yet. :D When I write I don't want to just make another slasher or zombie movie. I want to make a land mark movie that will stand out and be among the best. Dream big right? :lol

thats cool M. I'm a stay at home mom that homeschools 3 kids. I also have been doing writing but of the novel varity. been in the works for three years. don't know if I'll ever finish it. I also do photography, weddings mostly but I love the art of it- not really the wedding end of it. Thats me. :D

Thanks Morbach. :D My novel is about a girl growing up in the 1800's. I love period pieces and love to read those kinds of books. Have been writing it forever tho. I might never get published but I have had fun with it. :D

Don't give it up,girl. Keep at it. If it's something you wanna do then do it. Even if it doesn't get published who cares? If you like doing it then do it. I know there's a good chance that my movies will be B movies :lol I don't care though. It's about keeping true to yourself ya know. Besides, some B movies are better than hollywood movies. :lol :lol

My story has a happy ending (so far lol). Around 12 years ago I had to stop working (I was a financial advisor), as my childhood epilepsy, which had always been controlled with medication, decided to come back for no reason. Went up to several seizures per day, randomly... I'd go blank, forget where I was, what I was doing etc... so I could't do anything.

Over the following ten years or so I tried working a couple of times, once for my brothers business doing office work, which I tried for a year but my doctors told me to stop... as It was affecting my health (stress, concentration etc makes my brain turn to sludge and brings on a state of confusion. I'm basically useless at anything I have to think for lol). So I stopped that and went back to sitting on my arse watching TV all day.

Few years later I started doing oil paintings as a hobby (it didn't affect my epilepsy, and I could 'walk away' if I felt my brain grinding to a halt) eventually I did a few for family and friends, sold a few.. did a couple of portraits for people... but it never took off in the way that I wanted.... so back to the couch and the TV it was lol

Then a couple of years ago I did a custom figure for myself... and started getting emails from people wanting me to do similar things for them. Fast forward two years and this 'therapeutic hobby' has built up to an 18 month waiting list... and for the first time (in my life) I'm now officially registered as self employed as a scultper/painter

woohoo!

Not only exciting because I'm my own boss, but also because I'm working... bringing in my own money... contributing to the household money pot, and generally feeling useful again!

so now, the custom work you see on this forum and my blog, is officially what I do for a living :D

THAT is extremely cool, Darren. :rock

My story is a little similiar:
Had my dream job, got injured, was on disability for years and quite depressed.
But during that time I was studying hooves and learning to trim my own horse, with my mentor.

And now? I am my own boss being a full time trimmer and doing something so rewarding that I couldn't imagine doing anything else.

We rock. :D

Well I'm a personal trainer and also a personal bodyguard for Hip Hop stars and others in the music industry  damn Rappers always getting themselves into a lot of bulls@#t. :D

I'm a physician, Surgical Pathologist. I'm the guy that looks in the microscope at biopsies and diagnoses cancer.
