we're both students.
Ingis: Electronic-Mechanics (master)
Ikaryas: Digital Arts and Entertainment (bachelor)

we both have a Saturday job in a supermarket :)

I do the same redundant BS day in and day out till I die...

I just graduate with a BA in American Studies and I need to find a job with this. I don't suppose there are any other american studies majors here?

Wow man, what the heck is American Studies? Is that a degree on American culture? Maybe you'll find a public relation(PR) position? Or international relation?

My position is boring atm. I work for a consulting company with a few contract for the military. Company is growing but I am barely getting any work and the secretcy/sensitivity/communication of the company is annoying now. I am open for a different position although I am not openly apply or posting my resume online. Maybe I should just be happy that I have a job in a bad economy?

I graduated University with a Degree in Microbiology and Zoology. Now I'm working as a research assistant in cognition psychology lab.

I am studying to become a doctor, but we'll see when that happens

Damn, and you're not happy with a Microbiology and Zoology degree? Can't imagine how much you'll owe by the time you finish with a doctor degree.
I worked with chemistry/microbiology dept in my previous career. Man did I worked various odd jobs before.

About $120,000. :wave

Oh? You studying to be a doctor too? If so, what kind? And what you're doing in CA and NY? :dunno

Third year Vet Med student. One year left and I'll add "DVM" to my name. :yess:

I'm leaning towards a residency in Ophtho. at the moment, but still up in the air.

(As for the location, I'm just a really big Buffy and Spider-Man, so I listed both "hometowns." :lol)

Cool.

I wonder if I am in the process of switching jobs again. :panic::panic::panic:
Should I be loyal in a bad economy that's barely recovering? In a time where company lay off people left n right? Should I take an opportunity of getting a new position with an estimated 20% raise? I know I won't get much of a raise from my current position. Buy more statues after a position switch and pay off my credit card with a lump sum? :dunno
Or get defeated by my greed and be unemployed, bankrupted, and selling my collection for canned tuna and corn? Maybe I need to lose weight anyway.

Do what ultimately makes you happy. That's the best advice I can give you. The road I took has been a pain in the butt to say the least, but now that I can see the end in sight, I can look back and say that it was well worth it.

Yea, I know what you mean. I am done with school for years now and only have a couple of yrs to finish off the payments. The good news is I am still building my career. Still learning and making more $$$ on each new position.
The real question is should I switch position again. Time will tell.
