My occupation - License to kill gophers by the government of the United Nations. Man, free to kill gophers at will. To kill, you must know your enemy, and in this case my enemy is a varmint. And a varmint will never quit - ever. They're like the Viet Cong - Varmint Cong. So you have to fall back on superior firepower and superior intelligence. And that's all she wrote.
I'm a supervisor at an Aluminum smelting plant. We basically take thousands of tons of stock aluminum and melt it down in a 2,000 degree furnace and transfer it into 2 smaller 1,500 degree furnaces that are mounted on hydraulics. It then goes through a filtering and degaussing process and is cooled and cast into a strip of various gauges per customer order and wrapped into 1,500 pound coils. It's a constant flow process. It then gets cooled and goes to another department where they punch it into round discs called "slugs", that are extruded and eventualy made into things like car air conditioner condensers, drink cans, pen barrels, cigar tubes, toothpaste tubes, etc, etc. It's sweltering hot (150 degrees or so in the summer) and you always get burned, but something has to pay for the polystone! On the side on work on computers, paint and airbrush...unwinding time.
I'm a geologist, urban planner, environmental scientist, social worker for a State Environmental Protection Agency. Been doing this for 18 years. Work ranges from overseeing hazardous waste cleanups to providing grants to commnities to clean up under utilized industrial sites termed "Brownfields". Even though I work for a bureacracy I really enjoy helping people solve problems and making the world a little lesss toxic.

Hi, I'm a university student. Finished one degree, now got 2 more years of my law degree.
I've only recently got into collecting figures. It's funny, because I've always been collecting stuff, primarily coins, both modern and ancient, but they never satisfied my collecting addiction. The 1st time I visited www.sideshow.com, I was BLOWN AWAY and realised what I wanted to collect. So now, I'm collecting figures of my favourite characters from tv/movies or other. Also, sideshow.com has inspired me to do some sculpting of my own. I've always been pretty good art-wise, but sculpting is a new thing to me, but when my sculpey clay arrived a couple weeks ago, I've become addicted! I'm progressing pretty quickly, been practicing faces heaps, but as soon as I make anything decent, I'll be sure to post a picture
