My wife hates everything about it, all the figures, statues and busts she won't even let me display them anywhere but one tiny room that she never go's into.

My wife is definetly not crazy about them, but is very accepting of them. I'm allowed one display cabinet in the living room, but when we buy a bigger place down the road I will be allowed to have a man-cave to decorate any way I want.

Also, even though she may roll her eyes, she does admit that the craftsmanship of my statues is excellent. She was particularly impressed by the Punisher comiquette.

I love it when these threads pop up. Always a great read! I'm single and spoiled now.

Thats a great avatar Razor!

My wife has known for 8 years how much collecting plastic figures means to me.She accepted me how i was and to this day gets a little giddy when i get new stuff in.When i got the CW Anakin with "Stinky"as she called him,was so excited and thought it was the cutest slug she ever did see!!!LOL
She is definately a keeper and the reason why i married her-she is non judgemental-she has her hobbies,i have mine-it is the only thing that seperates us....So yes,she tolerates it and loves it-the money part can be a little trying at times though...

I´m super cool when it comes down to collecting. I love my collection and am very understanding when my Sideshow Freak side decides to add new items to it ;)
No "significant other" for me right now so I only need my credit card to be okay with my collection (it doesn´t always agree though!)

The wife is crazy about me ... so she's cool when it comes to the junk I buy on occasion. I only buy a few figures a year, so the cost isn't exorbitant, and I keep it in perspective.

I've got a room set aside that has all of my random collectibles in it ... movies, sports, whatever. Gonna do a sports bar/ pool table/ collectibles set up in a game room in our new house when we move this summer. She doesn't want the stuff bleeding out of the room and screwing up her decor, though.

Mine didn't say a word positively or negatively. She just said "really". I said yeah really. LOL!

My wife started by buying me a pf for my 40th bithday, then she had reward points and it's been all down hiil from there. She's started to collect disney and vcd's.

My wife hates the prices (can't fault her for that) and the amount of space they take up. She much preferred it when I would only pick up a Hasbro 3 3/4" figure every once in a while, which I wouldn't even display. Now she's aggravated at how my desk area has been overrun by 12" figures!

My doesn't doesn't care...as long as they don't take up to much space and empty our bank account.

My wife is very supportive and even has worked with me on some of my customizations. She does any sewing that needs to be done, some painting, and has designed one of the bases I made.

my wife is cool about it, but one of the requirements when we were looking at houses was 2 living rooms so my collection can have a room to it's own.

My wife hates it. Oh well...

(sigh) Describes my own situation to a T. :(

Me, too. Sounds like we need to form our own club. :google

I'll be joining this club as well... At first my girlfriend was fine with it, but now she wont even pretend to be interested in it. If she hears or sees that I bought a new figure she'd immediately ask "Oh God how much did you spend on it?" I guess it's reasonable since I spend most of my money of these figures. Now that I'm cutting back on figures I hope she'll show a little more interest in it. At least let me talk about it a little more. I LOVE my figures.

She's not materialistic at all. She doesn't buy shoes, clothes or anything all that much. So it's hard for her to understand something making me this happy.
