What is next after hot toys PREDATOR 1???

Well, as this has been one of my most favorite collectible lines since HT first released the AvP Preds, I'm in no hurry for them to throw in the towel... just yet. Like Facebox and others have said, there are still some great characters that could be produced, including those from the Predator comics. I'm basically open to whatever they come up with, but personally I'd really like them to make at least some, if not all of the Lost Hunters from P2.

By the time the P1 Pred comes out they will already have plenty of basic components to work with; two basic figure bodies, plus all of the P1 and P2 armour, gear and weapons. They'd need to make their individual bios and other pieces of costume, and a few new head sculpts, but that should be a breeze for HTs design department. I'd definitely shell out the cash if they made those dudes!

I'm still waiting to see if they're really going to make Dutch and some of his teammates. If/when they design a suitably athletic-looking female figure body, I could see them adding the heroine from AvP to finish that line. She kicked a lot more alien ass than Celtic or Chopper did, so I'd say she rightly deserves to be an action figure too.

Thats a bargain at the prices those are going for now! I have a Special version on order and coming soon hopefully...been waiting a while for their stock to get in.

i realize. but it still hurts esp when you had the chance to get him for $200 2 years ago and you passed it just because of misunderstanding that he was not in the movie.

Well, for better of for worse, the studio announced last week an AVP3 was pretty much a certainty, so we can always hope for some cool new designs from there.

Honestly, I am open to Hot Toys makeing and designingoriginal a few Predators of their own. All I care about is getting COOL looking Predators. I don't care if they are from a movie or not.

For me, my HT Predators aren't their movie counterparts anyways. After all, those guys died in the movie (losers!). Mine are still alive to kick ass!

Amen to that! The only problem with the Lost Hunters is that about half of them are very gear-light when compared to existing Predators - some have just a spear and loincloth! At the end of the day, HT are a canny business and I expect they will keep bashing out Predators until sales drop off. In that sense, the success of the Battle Damaged P2 - their first double-release of the same character - may be pivotal.

Just counting movie designs, Hot Toys potentially have the following to pick:

- From Predator 2, the 8 x 'Lost Hunters'
- From AVP, the 'Pallbearer' Predator (the generic ones from the film's end) and pyramid-top guard (from the flashback sequence).
- From AVP-R, 2 x AVP / Wolf hybrid Predator ship crew.

That's a dozen designs still to use, albeit that the AVP / AVP-R ones would just be a hybrid of existing components. It's an interesting question as to how well these unused movie designs would sell compared to Dark Horse comic ones - do the DH Preds have enough recognition these days?

Id guess the next set of figures ill buy will be the Predator 1 collectible and dutch. Id say 2 preds are enough, but if ill have some money extra theres a possibility that i`ll look for the predator 2 battle damaged. . Though a few more aliens couldnt hurt either, Only got the Hot toys AvP:R Warrior and the Neca Predalien.

While the Predators may seem an undending tide, the bugs aren't far behind. To date we've had 12 distinct Predators (even counting in Ani-Com Scar and SS Exc BD Predator, neither of which is really different enough to count IMO) against 7 Aliens (counting Grid and the brown repaints). That said I agree, bugs from Alien, Alien3 and A:R should be further up the production list than more minor Predators.

I know who the "Lost Hunters" are but I don't know anything about them other than they appeared at the end of P2. Where did that name come from, "Lost Hunters"? Do they have a background story for that crew? Please shed some light on this for me.

I'm pretty sure that's the Ancient Asia Pred and the Sideshow Ancient exclusive atop the pyramid....just without the Alien head on spear.

i'd say they would have to start with the non popular predators that are in the background. most definitely have to make Dutch's team from part one. i' would do everything in my powers to get every one of them. i'm far too poor to buy all the colonial marines and i don't think they are worth the money they are getting on ebay.
