First one I got was the regular Xander Harris from the Buffy line. He was on sale at Entertainment Earth(around 20 bucks) during a clearance and I just thought it was a great figure. I didn't know about Sideshow at the time, but I wish I had since SS is just so awesome!:D

Blackbeard the Pirate. Being a Bucs fan I like anything that has to do with Pirates so I got that a few years ago on ebay. I really didn't know who Sideshow was or follow them until I heard about the Star Wars 12" line.

my first:
12" was Luke Skywalker
1/4 was Obi Wan

after getting luke it all went downhill.... i immediately bought 12" Freddy vs. Jason PF and 12" sets, then kept going with the star wars theme by buying Vader, Han in PF form. then of course i keep my 12" Jedi orders going.

I got Jason III, Classic Freddy and Classic Leatherface all around the same time, I think. I know for a fact they were my first SS figures, just not sure which one came first.

12" The Vampyre silver Screen variant. I felt in love with the classic monsters line, then with the Twilight Zone, the Monty Phyton, etc... Now I owned more than one hundred 12" figures.

Frankenstein Little Big Head; two of them, one to open and display, the other to leave mint in package! :rotfl

(Boris Karloff) Frankenstein SSE 12 inch figure.

At that time I had told my family that was the only one I was going to buy....I have been borke from that day on! :rotfl

Lonnie I too have Two of some sets of LBH's one for display & one to keep mint in the package! :lol

It is sad, I truly need some help, I just can not stop collecting Sideshow's Vintage Monsters Line! :rotfl

I remember I was at a toy store just browsing around when I saw the Obi Wan 12" figure. I said to myself "this figure is beautiful but so expensive". Then I went home and contemplated if I really wanted to spend that much on a toy and if indeed I would pull it out of the box even for fear of breaking him. Well, I went back and the rest is history. Now I don't even flinch when I buy expensive dolls. We all need help.

I know it will expose me as the unhip wagon-jumper that I am but...

Luke Skywalker. He was my first.

Well I know them from the garage days. Their first release was "Schiltzie the Pinhead", followed by "Lionel", then the "Wrightson Frankenstein" it wwas their first vinyl release, then "I'm Back".... the old days

First piece I bought was the Wolfman, and then Universal Series 1, 2, 3, 4. The oldest piece I have from them is the vinyl kit "I'm Back" which I bought in NY a couple of years ago. Man I have bought from SS!

Yeah, he was there in those early 1/6 scale days! They had the Young Frankenstein stuff too. I bought that Bruce Lee figure when it first came out (I forgot that was Sideshow). I bought it at Kay Bee Toys in the spring of 1999. I worked there for 3 months in the summer before my junior year of college. It was a odd Kay Bee--it was in a strip mall in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, but it wasn't one of their outlet stores. I worked there for the "Phantom Menace" midnight figure release...and I didn't buy any of them. I did buy the 1979 Kenner Alien from the comic shop down the street though, which is waaay cooler than a dinky little Jar-Jar any day!!! :D

Great thread!!

My first was the Sideshow/Weta Morgul Lord. I had originally ordered some of these with the intention of flipping them. As soon as he showed up, though, it was like crack. My mother was visiting when he arrived, and as soon as I got him out of the box, she said, "Oh, Lord, I know that look..."
