Well I know them from the garage days. Their first release was "Schiltzie the Pinhead", followed by "Lionel", then the "Wrightson Frankenstein" it wwas their first vinyl release, then "I'm Back".... the old days

First piece I bought was the Wolfman, and then Universal Series 1, 2, 3, 4. The oldest piece I have from them is the vinyl kit "I'm Back" which I bought in NY a couple of years ago. Man I have bought from SS!

OK, I'm familiar with all the garage kits you mentioned (I own all of those) except "Lionel". What kit is this? Any pictures? Any information? Come on, fess up!!! I need info man!!!! :D

Aside from The Fellowship and Two Twers box set pieces, the first Sideshow piece I bought was the Witchking statue off a board member a couple of years ago. The first piece I actually ordered from Sideshow was the Morgul Lord or Sauron. I cancelled both though.

Gandalf the Grey!

The first i ordered was Gandalf but he, helms deep and the golden hall arrived at the same time....

my first ss was the Nazgul steed bust, i picked that up cheap, 2 1/5 years ago, but my first one that i orderd was 1/1 pred bust :)

Enjoy! You can find some of them on eBay, but a couple are very hard to find!

i don't recall which came first, Nosferatu, Frankenstein or Spinal Tap!?!

I started with these guys when they started offering 1/6 scale stuff.

I'm 99% sure that Nosferatu was my first 1/6 figure from them.

BTW, those garage kits are awesome, I've never seen them before but its cool to know that Sideshow was always top-notch!!!

Han Solo. Yeah I'm late, but this started it all. He fit in with my Empire collection and then I started picking up more. Now I can't get enough of these things! Can't wait for next figure to come in!

12" Sean Connery Bond from Dr. No.... It was in a little out of the way toy/model store in Edinburgh. I went back the next day and picked up the Die Another Day Pierce Brosnan to have the matching tuxedos.

12" Jedi Luke Skywalker.

I've been in love with the 1/6 scale since I was a kid, but never had anything that I felt was truly of displaying, no "high end collectibles." Medi-Luke came and went, but just wasn't......the one. Then I saw SS's Luke on Rebelscum, which led me here, which led me to buy the Jedi Luke I've been dreaming of for years. He opened the way to the collection I've always wanted--1/6 scale Star Wars figures worthy of display without the worry of them looking like "toys."

And then they started the LOTR 1/6 line--oh man, Sideshow, you have no idea how long I've dreamed of figures like these..............

My first 12" figure was the original Frankenstein figure. I also got the first wave of the 8"ers. I didn't connect the two being from the same company for a while though. I'm not sure which came out first. Strangely, I believe I got the Frank at Toysrus and the little guys at Target. :lol Oh, how things have changed!

8" figures came out first... although I'm not sure if there was any overlap between the 1/6 and them.

It's funny, I remember years ago seeing the Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan Bond figures at Suncoast and doing everything I could to get enough money for one of them--I had no idea who or what Sideshow was, but I knew I had never seen such good looking figures in that scale before. I was in high school, and money was really short, so I saved up as fast as I could to get one before it was gone. Unfortunately, I could never find them by the time I had the money, and didn't know where to look to get one.

Fast forward a few years, and after relishing the joys of my new Luke Skywalker figure and joining these boards, who do I find? That's right, the company that made the bond figure I had craved so long ago. And just as I was looking to find one, the Legacy figures made their debut. So now, along with my LOTR and SW figures, I'll finally have my Sean Connery Bond figure, the one that, had I enough money at the time, would have been my first Sideshow figure.

And we all lived happily ever after. The end!
