My biggest disappointment is the lack of a head sculpt with Kylo Ren. They released that figure way too soon.

In fairness I don't think you can say you're disappointed in their raising prices. They have products that are often head and shoulders above the competition. They have the best licenses. Certain lines are just very popular and sell like nuts. There isn't one company in their right mind that wouldn't raise their prices. Not one.

If someone argued price as a function of comparative competitor quality was a disappointment, I could buy that. But I don't think you can't say I'm disappointed in them because they no longer charge prices I can afford.

Imagine if someone said I'm disappointed in Mercedes because their prices keep going up. Or I'm disappointed in Armani because their prices keep going up. The truth is that this crap is so popular they can afford to raise the prices. But a lot of us can no longer afford to collect or just hit a refusal point (like a $40 tshirt at a concert).

I can think of several companies that produce unlicensed stuff as good as HT.

Honestly? I really, really hope that their price policy will be their ultimate downfall. Their used to be a time where they justified increasing prices because plastic prices were increasing due to the increase in oil prices. Now, that just doesn't cut it anymore. Now I suppose they'll say it's because licensing prices have increased or whatever.

The truth is as long as there are people ready to buy, they'll play with the edge and see where it breaks. So far we morons play along, but again, they are dangerously close to the breaking point I think. When a toy is sold for the price of a TV set, things are seriously wrong!

I know I'm not the only one who has renounced to some licenses because that was reall becoming too much (i.e Star Wars). I know, it's selling like hot cakes, but in the long term, I really wonder if they have the right strategy. In the end, is it better to sell for a higher price but sell less and lose some costumers or is it better to be reasonable, sell for less but sell much, much more to happy costumers?

Time will tell I guess...

Now that the OT splurge is coming to an end, the only figure I'm interested in is a T2 Endo.

It self fulfilling, priced too high people buy less. Unless they can double prices to make up for the loss of a purchase. They do that and they will not have a market. Personally I won't pay more than 200. Thats the max and it must be a character I really want.

I would buy alot more at 150.00

Whats your personal max?

And the increase in prices. I bought the first two Iron Man die cast. They were 300 USD each. Now they're 400 (not these two, but the newer ones). Did the price on metal just skyrocket? I don't know what my max is, for buying a figure, but I'll buy a lot less when the average price s 250 instead of 200. It's not just 50 USD. It's psychological as well. Paying 200 USD for a fancy toy (I'm in europe, so I pay like 350) is A LOT. It's too much, but hey, I'm a nerd and I love these figures. But that was kinda my psychological limit. Anything above that is just crazy. But if the right figure comes along, I'll pay the cost of admission to have it. But again, a 20 USD 1/12 Ripley can be pretty bad but still good. At 250 USD it has to be beyond amazing.

The lack of the rest of the GOTG, and what about previous licenses like the watchmen (Does anybody still remember them), sucker punch, batman 66 batmobile, keaton batman's penguin etc etc.

I know it's been said over and over....but Drax is my biggest disappointment. We were never expecting all of the characters in the movie, but just leaving out 1 is upsetting. I love my GOTG collection, but I want to complete the core team. Much thanks, however, are due for the Delorean. Can't wait!!

I would say all of the Ironmen figures released this year. The lack of effort and creativity of using rooted hair for female figures.
Not announcing the 1/4 Batman Returns figures and the lack of 1:6 Penguin and Catwoman figures.

Way too much focus on Marvel's feature length toy commercials. No additional X-men movie figures.

My biggest HT disappointment is all the Star Wars Figures shipping all at once. Got hit hard this month.
