Every so often I'll deviate from Sideshow and make a purchase from another company. I love Disney's Darkwing Duck, so I decided to pick up the Electric Tiki maquette. Came tonight and for all of the nitpicking we do with Sideshow products, I'm reminded of how far superior in quality and value often times Sideshow is compared to other companies.

This was my first experience with Electric Tiki and, to be honest, I really didn't know what to expect. I paid $100 for it, compared to Sideshow's TMNT Donatello, which I paid $170. Now I think the maquette came out fine, but the paint apps were sloppy in spots and man, is it tiny. I guess that's why they call it a 'teeny weeny' maquette. Just interesting how two well-respected companies can be so different.

My own personal alien. I liked her a lot when I saw her finally in person. Really wish the face was different though. I touched up her face with liquid eyeliner.

Not sideshow but worthy. Found this huge treasure at a LCS that someone had brought in. It and it's box are so huge.

The most expensive and rarest Predator I ever bought is Elder Predator. Personally my favorite Predator figure. I bought Elder from twistedfreak (Thanks man!).







I also purchased Albert Wesker (S.T.A.R.S version) last week. I really like the tailoring, his gears and the light up feature.
