Swords and such are awesome. Although they can kill, they can look so beautiful. Especially Katanas

I do have space, just have to arrange for a handyman to come and fit it for me, but I will hopefully provide pics once its up, thanks
Swords in general actually scare me, but this one is Sting, and in a case so I'm hoping that I can battle my phobia and be okay with it

Yeah thats partly true. Basically a curved edge sword (like Katanas) are illegal to be impoted or sold.
However you can import one within a couple of exceptions of the Law.
If someone is purchasing a collectors item, that it is a Samurai (curved) sword and made before 1954 by traditional Japanese methods or you are a Martial Arts enthusiast and have club/insurance registration to prove it, then you can import Katana's.

Luckily Sting only has 37cm(ish) blade length and is not curved. Yes, it is leaf shaped but these new laws only apply to curved swords that look like the Samurai Sword because of all the knife crime here with Samurai replica's.

So Thankfully I was able to get it through with no problems at all. I even emailed the Home Office before it came just to make sure

Thanks, it is a really nice photo tent set, as I said I need to work with it more to get hold of the best ways to take photos. But the price was unbeatable

I will throw my two cents in here.

First off, i think its childish that a mod would leave such a sig up like that, very care bear-ish.

Second, things change..we sell our stuff(gift or not) and get into other lines..bottom line, someone recieves something as a gift, its theirs to do with as they please.

I have friends that sold or traded things i gave to them because they needed money or no longer had use for it, or flat out lost interest in it, i never got upset with them at all.

Gifts do not define a friendship, or make or break it.



I am not taking any sides here though, i don't know both sides of it and frankly don't really give a crap, it sounds really childish.

I just think disputes like this should be handled via PM, and go no further then that.
