Might as well say, "you're so wrong, you're an idiot." If you're going to act like your opinion is so righteous, at least make it about something a little bit more important than this. Otherwise you just sound like a ******. :lol

Anyway, blind buy or not, I am surprised people "collect" movies any more. I love Netflix even with all their flaws like throttling . The concept of being able to get almost any movie I desire in 3 or 4 days is just awesome. The movie would have to be freaking awesome for me to even consider buying it anymore.

if I wanted to rent movies I just go to the red box and rent them for a dollar,

Don't really blind buy but did last week and was surprised the film was exacley what it said on the box and I enjoyed it anyway.
"Dead heads" a zombie love story:)

I walked into fry's today and just bought entire series of firefly on bluray for 50 bucks, never seen it or serenity but i've heard good things. Love sci fi and Nathan Fillion in the movie slither

Just recently blind bought Firefly as well. Honestly had no idea what it was about but absolutely loved it! Serenity is awesome as well. Also if you have a bestbuy close by they have firefly on blu for 20 bucks.

Why would anyone pay more than $9/month for Netflix?

Instant streaming and getting movies mailed to your house costs I believe around 18 or so. Personally I think the streaming is the only good thing about netflix

Always looked at Netflix as a waste of time and money.

:( This is how I usually get to watch TV shows that I can't/don't watch when broadcasted. I watched the entire run of the 70s show and 24 on Netflix when I would've otherwise skipped both altogether. Same goes with Supernatural....turned out to be one of the better shows I've seen since the likes of Angel.

Streaming is great. I don't understand why people would want movies mailed to them as well.

Being able to watch any movie or tv show ever burned onto DVD without having to buy them is pretty damn cool.

Watching TV is a pretty big waste of time though. If you've got an exciting life I don't recommend it. :lol

If you're watching a crap load of films and TV anyway it's awesome.

Well I will be receiving The Raid tommorow. Probably going to pick up either The Hunger Games or Cabin in the Woods for my next blind buy.

Blind buys suck! Every time I do it I am disappointed :lol

Then I end up trading it for 1/10 the price :(

If I can watch the movie at least once then I will buy it,

but yeah I am NEVER buying another movie blind like that again, it just sucks

I guess the difference between me and some other blind buyers is I usually only buy them if I see good reviews on both IMDB and RT. LIke Immortals I would never ever think of buying that one :lol

I was saved by Netflix. :yess:

All of the samurai films I own were blind buys. All successes. Most of my horror too. Equilibrium, The Great Silence, Captain America, Witchblade, Samurai 7. I got to see True Grit because the person I was with bought it blind.

There's definitely an art to it.

what do you mean by blind buy then? do you know the story before buying it? do you read the plot?
