Where are the HT X-Men Trilogy figures?

for that matter, IMHO they should just include both hairstyles, like they have done in the 'thor' and 'resident evil alice' figures, so people could choose :)

I like that idea even better. I could see myself switching hairstyles every so often. Now would you prefer sculpted or real hair?

for both the ponytail style and the X2 short haircut, sculpted would be better, and the onlye way for making switchable styles, but for an X3 phoenix, it should be real IMHO! :)

It's interesting that we haven't seen any figures from First Class or the trilogy. There's so many characters at HT's disposal. I thought we'd have seen something by now.:impatient:

As much as I'd love any and all X-Men, trilogy or First Class, I think its just torture speculating what they may make. Especially when fairly obscure characters are mentioned. I'm not saying we shouldn't make wish lists, but there isn't a sign anywhere that they are going to make even 1.

We know they are making Iron Man, Spiderman, Batman, Dark Knight Rises and Avengers. Personally, I don't think we'll ever see anything from the trilogy. I can only hope they make some LONG NEEDED characters from lines they are already making. Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Venom, Whiplash 2, etc.

As someone said earlier in this thread, why would they make a line of characters if they are all just wearing black leather outfits. Imagine the complaints that will surface about 5 X-Men figures all wearing the same outfit.

I love superhero movies and the figures but the X-Men trilogy really didn't do it for me, I thought it didn't do justice to the comics at all.

I've been racking my brain to think of a single figure from the line I'd want and I cant. I guess Wolverine would look good on my shelf next to all the other superheroes but I don't love Jackman's portrayal & it infuriates me that he never wore a mask in any of the films.

I hear you. Some movies aren't that great but the figures are bad ass. Case and point Ghost Rider. That was a pretty bad movie as a whole but the figure is awesome.

I didn't like the X-Men movies back then as much as I do now. The figures from those movies I think would translate well. Even though the costumes were very similar they did have subtle differences for each character. Wolverine had pointy orange patches where everyone else's were rectangular.

This is cyclops costume and the next one is wolverines. Also rogue had green piping on hers that is difficult to see in this pic and iceman obviously had white piping. Similar but different. I would personally like to see them made but I have already made customs of most.

I mean superman 79' was terrible but the figure is bad ass.

Well, we have a nice Logan-style Wolvie thanks to the Wolverine movie, I want an X-Men style Wolverine, even if it's the black costume from the movies. And a Cyclops, Jean, Storm, Rogue, etc. What excites me even more, though, is the thought of the villains; Magneto, Mystique, Sabertooth, Pyro? Oh, yeah! Probably the best jumping off point would be "First Class" with Mags, Xavier, White Queen, Beast, Shaw - I think there would be enough interest among fans for them to be a hit.

I don't know just how "old news" the trilogy is, actually.

Rumour mill has it that after the success of First Class, Fox started making the motions towards creating X-men 4, as a sequel to X-3. (Which is probably about as baffling as them insisting on creating another Wolverine movie, considering how negatively the first one was received... I do hope their confidence in that second movie is well-grounded). However, if they do go on ahead with this, the figures from the original trilogy might actually become quite relevant.

That being said, I'd much rather HT focused on First Class first. It's a more successful movie with a certain sequel (and I'm biased, since I want the characters more. The only one I want from the trilogy is Kitty Pryde and uh... I don't think she's too high on the production list).

I would be content if all we got was McKellen Magneto and Marsden Cyclops from the Trilogy. You have the team's traditional field leader, and main villain. Boom. I'm set. I'd happily take Stewart Xavier, Storm or Jean, but I could live without them.

And I'd buy x-suit Wolverine if they ever made him, but I'm happy with my XMO version.

A young Magneto would rock but I really hated the yellow in their costumes. They were not that cool. Not really an improvement over the trilogy.

I like the blue and yellow costumes... if they make a Magneto from First Class I hope he's wearing that. Wasn't really feeling his Magneto costume.

I agree. Only a glimpse of the magenta or purple costume but it still was kinda weak. At least the trilogy magneto was darker tones.

I believe that is because their movie rights for the X-Men are running low and since Marvel has its own movie studio now it doesn't need 20th Century Fox to do all the work for them anymore. The rights could revert back to Marvel and Marvel could tie in the X-Men with the Avengers and so on.

X-Men: First Class was Fox's way of not only getting attention back to the franchise after a disappointing X-Men 3 and Wolverine, but also saying to Marvel, "Hey! Look! We still care about this franchise and can make a good movie! Sign us up for more!". Superhero movies are big bucks when done well and Fox doesn't want to lose the X-Men movie rights. Hence, after two washes with X-Men 3 and Wolverine, they hope that X-Men First Class can redeem Marvel's faith in them.

Perhaps this is why "The Wolverine" or whatever Wolverine 2 is going to be called is sort of floating in limbo right now. They want to make sure everything about this movie is good or Marvel will certainly not resign another rights contract with them.
