Where is the Fantacular 2011?

SDCC Exclusives announced in May? Really? ____ how anti-climatic by the time we get to July.

Every company does something for SDCC. A majority for ToyFair. No other company threw their own events like Fantacular or Spooktacular. It was the little things that made it a nice nod for those of us who have been in it for the longer haul. I guess we should count down the days for Spook to be over considering the last one was a mess and I kind of expect this year's SDCC action to be worst than last.

It's sad really....

As for the DCD issue many forums, folks online predicting the end for DCD itself but I would say those thoughts are premature. They've done one PF a year since the line's inception and are still doing it. Cranking out figures and statues at a rapid rate and I guarantee you'll see them try again at 1/6 before handing it off somewhere else. SSC has been chasing publicly a DC license for a while and I have a feeling they've stopped beating that dead horse. I wouldn't get my hopes up there.

SS's days are numbered..they are probably losing money hand over fist right now. They cant pump out stuff like they use to because no ones buying and QC has dropped like a rock. They have no choice but to start cutting their losses Ie: less give aways, less new products...less everything. If a new company came out right about now putting out super exclusive pieces with the quality to match.....SS would be out of business in a year. Personally, I hope it does happen. Because all SS does now is saturate the collecting market with cheap/junk collectibles.

I can def see where you coming from though. Most of their products today can't put a candle to the stuff they put out 4-5 years ago.

The collectibles market is just not what it used to be. I'm sure the veterans here remember when things were booming back in the early 2000s. It was the glory days of collecting. It's just a hard pill to swallow that all companies, not just Sideshow, are cutting back and raising prices. People just aren't buying at the level they were years ago. There's still a market, but albeit a much smaller market.

Im still that person, with almost any other company. SS has turned my opinion of them for the worst like I could not have imagined. Literally, every problem that could happen, has happend...in my experience. Not even Bell or Telus has managed to do that with me! Im a patient guy...

However, Sideshow...has managed to tick off every last fiber of "patience" that I had left. Im still having issues with them...WELL after I cancelled all my orders and stopped buying their crap. Thats how far reaching their BS go's. Below are a list of SOME issues I've had with them....tell me if any of these issues my upset any of you:

-Every single piece I have received has been returned or refunded due to major QC issues.

-Packages have been delivered to the wrong address.

-Replacment packages were not deliverd for months.

-Replacments show up worse than the original

-Reward points never added to my account 4 months after package was received.

-I've been locked out of my SS account with no reason as to why.

-I've been able to log into my SS account with multiple passwords with no reason as to why.

-SS reps NEVER have an answer to anything.

-Refunds have been refunded to someone elses credit card (which I now have to wait months to get back according to SS)

-I've lost hundreds and hundreds of dollars on customs fees, due to all the returns and refunds....with nothing to show for it all.

-Still waiting for replacment parts for peices ordered back in November.

Shall I go on?......


Its one issue after another....after another. I was never this type of person, SS has brought out the worst in me and they deserve it.
