Where to start collecting Aliens/Predator?

I am lost with all the Aliens/ Predator great stuff that is out there. I do own a Alien and a Predator Cosbaby. But want to get something much cooler. Help me get a fresh new start to building a great collection---thanks..:emperor

i got a hot toys wolf predator repaint, that make great collection starter.

Do what I did; get what's currently in stock and not too hard to find, then worry about the rarer pieces. I'd suggest either a Hot Toys Wolf or Hot Toys Predator 2! Both can be purchased from Toys2.net.

sidesow alien and predator diorama's, they are great pieces, to start a cool collection.

I started with Kotobukiya mini 'statues' and comic books. Turned into a downright addiction.

I really need to go through my collection, and take updated pics of individual items, and post them up.

I'm really starting to think about collecting some of the Konami Alien 'gashapon' figures. Brilliant detail, I think they'd probably look great next to the Koto stuff.

Edit: I'd honestly recommend a Sideshow Dio. Quality piece, beautiful, and freaking BADASS!

i started with getting almost all of the HT preds , but i wouldnt recommend that cause then its 2 late to get out and then the addction spreads 2 other lines as well. but i good starter piece right now is the ss p2 diorama ex. its cheap and SUPRISINGLY still in stock on their site

idk.......i dont have any alien pieces AT ALL, just never cared for them as a design, well....i have a predalien. but i know there r some ppl here that have all of the alien dios and the p1 dio just started shipping i believe not 2 long ago.

Need to know a bit about you first. Do you like to re-arrange and reposition figures, or are you a set them up and dust them?

If you just want to display, I'd go for the new Alien & Predator dioramas, and their statues. There are less of them than the figures, but the cost (I think) are cheaper when all factors are taken into consideration, shipping, space to display, etc. (Crap in heaven! That's what I should do. Get rid of all my loose HT figures!)

Speaking of starting off I have no Alien/Pred Collectibles as of yet I was thinking of starting by Getting either Hot Toys Wolf or the Alien 1 Diorama from a locally owned Collectibles shop
What do you guys think?

If you're a completist type, Hot Toys will be a nightmare at this point. Their stuff is beautiful, but fragile and expensive.

I'd say go with the SSC dio's. The only one you'll have a hard time getting at this point would be the Aliens one (from the second flick). They are extremely awesome as well. Pretty close to 1/4 scale maquette quality packed into a 1/8 scale statue. You can't go wrong with them IMO.

Yea I suppose you could call me a completist it may sound strange but if I bought Wolf I think he would be lonely not having any other Pred buddies around unless the Predator from P1 is released soon
Also I can order the Aliens Dio from the Same shop
