Thanks for the support homies.

Bro, I would say that the Hot Toys stuff is good to start with, by that I mean the stuff that is currently up for PO. They are great figures, but then there are the SSC dios, from what I see are kick ass. Just so many things to start with.

It also depends on your price range, like are you willing to pay $200 for a figure. And space, do you have room to display a 14 inch Predator?

I got that on preorder but thinking of canceling

I'd think twice before doing that! The Alien Pile is really an amazing sculpt by the master, Takeya Takayuki! If you know anything about the garage kit industry, his work is arguably the most revered & sought after. Prices for his kits go all the way up to the 2000 range!

Now, back to the original poster, do you prefer statues or action figures?

I'd agree with the folks that said get the SS dios. They are very cool & collectible. I would also get all of the Fewture products.

Does the HT Battle Damaged Predator from P2 include a bio helmet? (an intact one, not damaged).

Yep.. sure does. You can only get the Battle damaged version with the Sideshow Exclusive version (which also comes with the intact one). The battle damaged helmet does not come with the regular wide-release version of the BD P2 figure.

Thanks people--I am more of a set them up and dust them kind of guy..-I did order the P2 dio ex yesterday..
Great pic of Alien--which one is that?

Thanks man! That's the Aliens Ressurection version. The newest release, and probably the easiest to get right now. I have them all so far and still can't pick a favorite. :google

And like danfanz suggested, I'm going for all the SSC dios and Fewture statues that Sideshow releases (got the 3 Fewture Aliens paid for already, and currently working on Predator w/horse). They look like they could be close to the same scale so I'm thinking they'll display nicely together.

Actually, I would almost recommend that you don't buy any aliens and predator stuff! It's more addicting than crack and you will end up robbing banks to support your new hobby!

don't forget the AVP-R Predator life-size bust . Available at Sideshow now in stock!! go get it if you have $900 to blow.:D:D:D:D

basically, search around. on here, Sideshow's site even ebay and look at prices and pics/comments etc... then GET WHAT YOU LIKE at the best price you can get it for. it's all a matter of personal taste. :D

:lolYeah, it is very addicting man, but if you can swing the Ca$h Go For It, Hot Toys is the way to go.. I started with the McFarlane stuff but figured it was just a wast of $$ might well start with the good stuff, you wont regret it.:naughty

or you could go "blast from the past" and only collect vintage aliens and Predators.:banana. For the price of one Hot Toys alien, you could have all this:

Before there were Mcfarlane/Hot Toys/Neca aliens and predators:

i think you need to decide how far you want to take it...if you HAVE to be a completist then i recommend sticking with the dioramas. if you can handle not getting a specific Predator figure then by all means jump into the fray and get the hot toys kits.
just be careful because they do become an obsession... expensive one at that. order the Lost Hunter Predator, Wolf, Predator 2 BD, AVP Elder Predator, P2 Elder, and from this point you need to decide if you want ALL of them because the remaining ones are gonna hurt the most.

Definitely, the Hot Toys Prices are no joke nowadays... If you look to own all the Preds out there be ready to drop a large amount of $$$$...
