argg still cant decide which alien to get, all i know is i need 1 alien statue.

Take into consideration everything - price, size, quality etc.. which one would you pick if you can only buy one?

1) alien big chap maquette: $720
2) alien big chap 1/6 scale: $220
3) alien warrior maquette: $1100
4) yoshihiko sano 1/5 alien: $1100

You could buy all 4 Alien 1/6 statues for the price of the Warrior Maquette.

Depends how important size is to you and if you are a fan of just one of the films or the franchise as a whole.

Sano Alien. It's THEE most definitive and most accurate Alien statue made.

Sideshow 1/4 Queen is better then all of those options. Unless your a hardcore Big Chap fan, the Sano isn't worth it imo.

I agree...I have her..one of the best features she has is that its seem like she changes color depending on the lighting..sometimes black other times blue/black with touch of greyish white..a incredible piece

i would also choose the sano piece! dont like the 2nd film as much as the first one, so with the alien warrior i m out. the maquette is good too, but i dislike the hands a little bit. looks like rubber-fingers without bones. so i agree with darth pain, sanos one is the most accurate. the big chap is chaep, of course, but in this case i would more recommand the medicom version. the big chap seems not very accurate to me to present the original giger alien.

I would get the Sano. I don't like the "Nosferatu" pose of the maquette. And the head on the 1/6 (I'm assuming it is the HT Big Chap) stinks.

BTW: I think the Medicom 1/6 deserves to be in this poll ;)

I like the Roswell -- it has the most crisp and precise detailing ...

for the record I paid more than $720 for the SS maquette and less than $1100 for the Roswell (Sano sculpt) -- I paid almost the same price for eachhovering around $800,
and the SS is an impressive size, but I was more impressed with the Roswell because of the amount of care put into this thing --- not "sculpterly" at all though he stands like a statue the surface details were as if this thing was born an alien - not sculpted into existence --- each rib, every bone very delicately formed and very specific in shape, -- the SS is nicely painted though, like what we want a prop to look like up close....but I hate to say it, because I have it, but the ribs look like blobs of clay just rolled into shape...luckily its other attributes make up for it...

The Big Chap 1/6 isn't nearly as faithful a sculpt as the Medicom 12", but it's kinda interesting in its own right.

I have the big chap maquette. It's size is awesome.

I'm shocked no one is showing love for the alien warrior. It's a great piece too.

wow the poll is almost tied 3 way, except noone voted for the alien warrior, i thought that would be the most popular choice.

Yet looks like sano is the preferred choice of alien fanatics everywhere :) Guess that settles it, just a pain in the rear ordering that thing from roswel

I vote Sano, but it is way overpriced.

I'd preferred it was closer to $400 -- but I guess part of it is the yen to dollar is way in favor of the Yen -- I'll say this, though, I don't for a minute regret having bought it =) -- I've considered parting with my SS a couple of times, but I decided to keep it after all was said and done -- thought I may in the long run regret getting rid of it...after all, I very specifically collect Giger / 79 version aliens - Big Chaps for the most part --

The Normal one can be bought for less than the special (well, the Special is sold out)...the normal being a bit darker paint job overall, but Yoshihiko Sano paints them all himself as well according to Roswell...

I think if you're a general Alien fan, the Sideshow maquette is good for you. If you're a hardcore Alien fan, you'll have to get the Sano.
