general fan here but one thing i learned in life is always go for the best, instead of something cheaper to regret later & ended up paying more for do overs.

i sent an email to roswel asking for total cost & edtion size of the regular, no response yet. Is it normal for them not to respond for a few days?

It has been -- they've just moved to a new location -- maybe still in the process of settling in -- but they always respond eventually...Even after a week or so.

I think the price point you have for Alien Warrior might be too high. If it costs the same as the Sano then there's no contest really, if it's at $800 range than people would have to decide between the Big Chap 1:4 or the Warrior 1:4, that would make more sense.

Is the alien warrior relatively accurate piece? One just ended on ebay for ~$1000 i was going to bid on it but the seller is in spain, too much headaches. i know there were quite a bit complaints regarding the inaccuracy/sculpt of the big chap maq.

Are you saying no contest purely because those are 1/4 scale vs sano's 1/5 scale? because i really dont think in term of accuracy/sculpt/paint anything even comes close to the sano.

Yep. Few days and you should hear back. SOP for them.

i heard back from yumika, it was kind weird though maybe she used google translator or something, she provided me with a paypal address i *think* she wants me to send the payment to that email address, but also said it has to be in yen. Waiting to hear confirmation if that's what she actually means as it's a large amount.

Yeah they're pretty straightforward --- the price is in yen - but paypal makes the conversion -- plus the yen is really high right now --

I bought mine from H.S cuz it was a little cheaper - unfortunately they're sold out, BUT it can be a bigger headache in terms of exchanges etc b/c they're a third party - I had a problem with a missing spur and I dealt with Roswell about that.

-- it's usually better to buy direct from some companies - I think maybe this is one of them...if you have a defective piece (like mine was) they'll take it back - reimburse your shipping right away and send you another - just make sure to be specific about what to watch out for -- if you're worried about little spines or spurs missing - since the alien has a few of those, ask them to double QC it -- they're a small operation, so they can give a little extra attention to customers...

my experience with them has been really positive thus far -- as I purchased the display case from them directly - and they mark everything with big FRAGILE stickers, so there's not mistaking that it's not to be tossed around unless there's a bunch of monkeys handling the packaging - like that delivery guy who tossed a computer monitor over a gate...

I meant everyone would pick Seno over the Alien Warrior if they are both priced the same, part of the appeal with the warrior is that it costs a bit cheaper, around same price point as the SSC 1:4 big chap, but I guess price must have went up. For $1100 I'd say the Seno 1:5 is the better buy.

thanks demorathis/all, just waiting to place the order! my first real alien statue, i am excited :)

Congratulations!!:clap it's a great piece :exactly:-- really made me want to go back in time and UNcancel my order for the 1/3 Bust Sano sculpted a year before!!:gah:

alien enroute to the usa :) i got the club special price or whatever they called it, so the cost was lower than expected. She said they dont have many left so if anyone is on the fence, probably need to jump soon.

Alien Art Statue Normal---------\74,800
shipping ---------------------------\5,400
--------------------------------------------
     the total \80,200

The same 80200 yen would cost me $650 instead of $1020 just a few years back. The destruction of the dollar & rise of the yen is unprecedented.

I still love the CM Alien I know it's not screen accurate but it's still my favorite Alien piece. But if I got another it would prob be the Big chap Maquette, the price is awesome compared to the recent price rises

well it turns out this is not shipped, i am now told it will take 1 MONTH to ship this......wtf, sano must be painting those on demand or something..

A couple months ago - I picked up a Medicom Alien in LA for $69. The best 1/6 Alien imo.
