Question: are people able to change their answers to the poll? Like.. if someone put "pass" and then changed their minds.

I'm sure the poll will be "pass" right now but the results will be "buy all three" after everyone gets over the fact that the character they wanted wasn't made yet.

If they are based on SS employees they can. People will find pictures of them and well we all know what happens then.:lol

he he he.. you are right... missed that part. And I really don't see all the hate for these... if you don't like them then don't get them. I'm gonna pass on these but I'm not going to get all in a huff over SSC making them. We will get Vader and Fett and Stormtroopers soon enough.. just relax.

The problem with these figures is that they are "nobodies"...

Eventually, there is a good chance we will see either "Luke", "Han" or "Leia" in the "Endor Rebel outfit". Even though I would rather see them in other incarnations, I will probably buy them. If I already own "key figures" in the "Endor Rebel outfits", I don't need nobodies with the same outfits!

And if ever I decided to pass on "key figures" in these outfits, I certainly would not want "nobodies" in the same outfits.

Now the difference with the "Imperial troops" is that unless they decide to make "Obi-Wan", "Luke" or "Han" desguised in their "Clone/Stormtrooper" outfits, we won't see any other "key characters" wearing the same outfits. Also, the "Imperial troops" reflect more these movies... Even people who have never watched "Star Wars" will most likely recognize a "Stormtrooper" as being part of the SW universe. Show them an unknown "Endor Rebel", and they won't have any idea where it is from?

I can just imagine people looking at my collection and saying:

"There's Luke, Leia and Han. There's Obi-Wan and Anakin... Who's that?"

And I would have to say:

"Oh, that's no one..."

I'm happy for those of you who actually want these but for me, they are an easy "pass".

Ummm Stormtroopers, Tie Fighter Pilots, Rebel Pilots, Biker Scouts are all "nobodies" as well.

But they're all ICONIC "nobodies" that are instantly identifiable as Star Wars characters by just about anyone who breathes oxygen. Big difference.

thats right! can't argue with that.

So.

The average person is going to ask who the hell Kit Fisto and Plo Koon too. They sure as hell wouldn't know who most of the Cantina Aliens are.

I've had people point at The Phantom of the Opera and ask who he was.

My collection is for my enjoyment.

Ok not knowing Kit Fisto and Plo Koon, I can see that but to not know the Phantom of the Opera, wow have the lived under a rock? That is one of the most popular operas of all time and they have many Movies and TV movies too. I knew who the Phantom of the Opera was in High School.

The fact that Kit Fisto and Plo Koon are aliens identifies them as being from science-fiction. Add to that their recognizable Jedi robes and lightsabers, and most people can place them as Star Wars characters, even if they will never know their names.

Human males in camo with guns and backpacks, on the other hand, could be from the latest GI Joe line.

I wonder if the three seperate figures is going to be a trend. For example, will we get three different Stormtroopers? One could be based off of a Sideshow employee, one a Jango clone, and another could be an actual extra or a "battle damaged" or injured head? Same could go for the clones and any other troopers. I wouldn't be to happy about that, but it would be nice if there would be only two versions of armored troopers (because I think most would like two troopers to be on either side of Vader). or less.

I don't think we will see any Stormtroopers with non masked heads since we never saw them in the movies. Clonetroopers, prolly.

I surely hope so.... It would make for a very interesting Trooper collection. And would obviously drive up sales as well! I'd HAVE to get all three!!! :D

None, nada, zip, absolutely nothing whatsoever, zero

Why?

Because I can't believe SSC released these before they've given us a Vader or Stormtrooper, Clonetrooper or Boba Fett. I don't intend to waste my cash on an overpriced GI Joe figure thanks just cause they slapped the name Star Wars on the box.

For me, that would be the same scenario as the nameless Endor rebels. I'd be happy for people who want such things, but they sure wouldn't be exciting for me. I do want a stormtrooper, but only because the armor is such an iconic part of the films. I don't have any need to have an unmasked trooper (unless it's Luke) in my collection.
