I havent seen F13th yet, going Wednesday, but so far I have like TCM way more than the others.
High hopes for F13th though
I think I know your taste enough to know that you will like this one best when its done.

Finally going to see F13 today!
wheres dawn of the dead? far superior than they are
Halloween remake was horrible. Michael Myers was juts a big brute. He is supposed to be the spirit of evil, size matters not.
I really liked the remakes of 'The Blob' and 'The Thing', even if the original 'The Thing' was a great picture already. A pity that those horror movies aren't in the poll.
Oh, I see. Yes, those two are indeed a bit out of line then. Now that you mention it... The Thing 1982, The Blob 1988! Damned, that's more than 20 years ago! Wow... Still, very good movies.I would've added them but I was more focused on recent remakes. They are good movies though.

Of the film's you listed, I think The Hills Have Eyes is the most memorable and holds up on repeated viewing, followed by Texas Chainsaw. Friday the 13 was pretty good, but at the end of the day it's just another Jason movie. Sort of like the newest Street Fighter game is good, but it's still just a fighting game. Rob Zombie's Halloween is a complete failure. My fav remake overall is John Carpenter's The Thing. Oh yeah, I also really enjoyed the remake of Dawn of the Dead.
