Wow, surprised that WB gave Wachowski bothers 170 something million to work with. All their directed films have bombed since the last Matrix flick. How does someone sign off on that and still have a job?

I get the feeling Marvel isn't particularly worried about Ant-Man when AoU is coming out a couple months prior to fill their coffers, good year to take a risk with a new franchise.

Holy crap, the South and the Midwest are going gaga for this 50 Shades movie.

Taken
Budget - $25 million
Box office - $226.8 million

Taken 2
Budget - $45 million
Box office - $376.1 million

Taken 3
Budget - $48 million
Box office - $325.6 million

The Taken franchise is still tremendously profitable, so the drop in box office is more than acceptable. Taken 4 anybody?

Fifty Shades of Grey
Budget - $40 million
Box office - $566.2 million

Jesus H. Christ. :slap

Furious 7
Budget - $190 million
Box office - $507.9 million (and counting)

It grossed $392 million in its first three days of release, the third highest opening of all time, according to Wikipedia.

Glancing there hasn't been a whole lot of major flops, just some that have broke even there abouts.

The Gunman and Mortdecai being ones that came no where close to their budgets.

I agree... plus at least Terminator will look cool in places even though it will be horrible.

I think expectations for Fantastic Four will be modest. Or at least, they should be. There's no reason to expect a runaway smash hit. With Terminator though, I can see expectations being through the roof. It looks like it will be an average movie at best, but. . .as this post demonstrates, quality of the film doesn't always have much to do with a film's profits:

Possible Ant-Man will be one of the biggest "flops" when all is said and done, because of the expectations that may be attached simply due to the production studio.

Yeah I agree with this Poll. FF will bomb and nobody will probably see Terminator

I can't believe Ted 2 is this discussion :slap

Avengers will be the top draw until SW and then the two will be battling for top spot all summer long
