Its like these fraudsters actually sat down and said ''right, I think the toy collecting community is in need of some pain''. Why did this hobby suddenly become a target or is it just coincidence that different sites have developed internal staff problems at around the same time?

i just found me the medicom red/blue spidey 3 on ebay for 99 bucks plus 15 for shipping from Hong Kong so i jumped on the offer........seems a reasonable price and now im gonna have the black spidey and the red/blue.

That is pretty impressive price. If anyone in the UK wants a Peter Parker, Play.com has him for £50 free shipping, and he normally goes for twice that on eBay.

Ok. Ordered both Spideys and the Peter parker Expensive at Toys2 but they're very fast on in-stock items and it saves me giving out my new credit card details elsewhere for the time being. Still not sure if I'll get Venom. Somehow he seems a bit too cartoony for my 1/6th superhero collection - also I think he's too small. Spiderman is supposed to be small so I'm not worried about him and Peter Parker looking wierd next to HT Superman unless someone can tell me otherwise. But Venom ought to be bigger. (I'll probably be back here in a few weeks saying I bought him anyway)

So all y'all come back to this thread and assure me I've made a good decision to get these figures - my 2nd, 3rd and 4th medicoms. I've been scouring the net for pics and they've all really grown on me.

Try a Michaels Craft store. I am pretty sure they would have something similar to that for the eyes.

I'm surprised you didn't already have that one. How come you're only getting it now? Me, I was just determined to wait for a Hot Toys one and then last week I just snapped and re-evaluated the medicom ones. The shiny suit ceased to bother me all of a sudden. Also I think the body proportions had been putting me off and now I don't know what I was thinking about - they look fine. And all the pics in this thread or linked via this thread really sold these figures for me.

You might try to find some gold gift wrapping paper. The plastic shiney kind. Probably hard to get some without some sort of pattern on it, but worth a try.

Sorry to read of your broken limb. I don't doubt that you were being careful too. That sort of occurrence totally sucks.
