Didn't Jonah jameson have a line in Spiderman 2 that went something like I WANT SPIDERMAN!! I know I only ordered them on monday night but my medi-spideys can't arrive soon enough.

NNNnnooooooooo!! It seems toys2 didn't have the red/blue version in stock afterall. So it looks like its the symbiote version and Peter parker only for me. Toys2 are asking their supplier if there are any original suit versions left but I don't hold much hope as its a relatively old figure which would have been very popular at the time it came out. 
Not a total loss though - most people seem to say the black version is the better one. Plus, its possible that if HT get the license, they will only do variations on the original suit and not do the symbiote version at all.

Thats sucks. Keep an eye out on ebay. The red one is the the harder of the two to find for a good price for some reason, but deals can be had.

I'm pretty sure I don't need Venom now. Symbiote spidey and Venom don't share screentime so I don't see the point. And he's a bit out of scale anyway. But dammit I really thought I was hitting 3 birds with one stone getting both spideys and peter at Toys2. Guess that went under their radar.
Yeah toys2 is usually pretty good about that stuff.
I really don't have much experience with Medicom but I do have a concern - I bought a Medi Jack Bauer from 24 to take his season 5 outfit for the Enterbay Jack - but the figure arrived with his arm broken off at the shoulder (I didn't care since all I really wanted was the outfit) and I have literally just now broken the other shoulder. I didn't do anything overly strenuous - just tried basic movement in advance of getting the medi-spidey and off the arm came. So I'm a tad worried about that.
The only medi's that have broken for me have been the superhero massive bodies. (something faulty with em) Musta got a dud if it arrived like that. Don't worry!!

If anyone is interested, my local comic shop has the red and blue Spidey and Venom in stock. I don't know what they're going for on Ebay but he sells his at original SSC prices.
Where are you based good sir? I might just be interested in the red/blue. I'm waiting for Toys2 to get back to me about whether they can get one from their supplier but I have a feeling they won't be able. They said it could take a week to find out.
My red one will be here tues.

Very nice. I asked Toys2 to ship my black Spidey and peter parker while I wait to hear if they can get a red/blue - I need me something new to look at.

I am in New Jersey. Unfortunately there is no online store for the shop but I could give you the phone number and I'm sure you could work something out. He does a lot of business on Ebay. If not, I wouldn't mind picking it up if need be. The owner is a friend.
Ah, just saw that you are in Ireland. It may be cheaper for you get to something off Ebay due to shipping cost. But let me know if you're interested.

Suit looks great - upper arms look a little strange though.
Did the mirror paper on the lens, i like it! (i think this would look REALLY awesome on the black one)
Got my red one today
I got my symbiote spidey and peter parker today! No breakages thusfar and they look good, glad I have them. The Parker headsculpt looks slightly more 'primitive' to figures of today but not that much. However my brother and g/f independently said it doesn't particularly look like Tobey maguire. I dunno, I can see a resemblance if not an exact likeness.
I love the Spidey figure - the suit looks great, the body proportions look right (that custom above is too muscled IMO). Complaints? The head is a tiny bit too small and they didn't provide enough alternate hands or any fake webbing - all we have in the package is the figure and 2 spare hands. Not a lot for your money. But I knew all this in advance.
Any ideas on what HT would do differently on Spiderman? If they get the license I can see them wanting to make different design choices to put their own stamp on it but I'm not sure what they could do.
