Question.

It was mentioned somewhere in this thread. The company who distributes the Sideshow stuff to aussie retailers.
What was there name again? Do they have a website so we know when retailers get their shipments?

Hard to answer. Popculcha gets their stuff from the distributor. The distributors warehouse is in Geelong. Popcutcha is in Geelong. The two are separate businesses, but the two are in cahoots. Then again, Sideshows site says 'Sports Card'. https://www.popcultcha.com.au/

When they were known as Figuremania they were slow to update their site. I don't know if that has changed. I haven't been keeping that close an eye on them of late. So again. it's hard to answer. That's the website, but it wont tell you when retailers get their shipments.

Hm... interesting.

Yeah, I remember when they were known as Figuremania. It would take them months to update their site.

I just picked up a sealed Medicom Jango from Cat:chews Craddle in Melbourne. SCORE!

And congrats man!

Well, if you do get into them, it's a whole new line, and it will cost you a fair amount of cash.
But then again, they're the best Street Fighter collectibles around, and they do look awesome.

Up to you man.

So they distribute the stuff? I remember checking out that site once, and yeah it's a similiar design to PopCultcha.

Yeah, rather similar isn't it :lol

Ikon are the Australian wholesaler for Sideshow (Australia really only has one now, especially for the higher-end stuff). PopCultcha are in theory just like any other Australian retailer, be that real store or web shop, they purchase from Ikon just like Kollectable Koas do for example.

Its just that there is a "business connection" between Ikon and PopCultcha, I don't know exactly what, but its like similar owners or something like that.

Bassic upshot, taking the Indy PF as an example, when PopCultcha has it listed at pre-order for $430, Koas couldn't even have purchased it from Ikon for much less then that, once you add GST, postage, etc. Sure, PopCultcha have upped the price now, but if Ikon/PopCultcha were making any profit at $430, then the price increase means a pure $70 profit extra.
