in hand to hand combat in the middle of a desert........terminator easy, but u start to throw them in a jungle or a busy city, the pred could prolly use that to his advantage cause thats what they do best. a pred needs to attack stealthfully or he will lose....NO DOUBT......so its a toss imo unless there locked up in a cage. environment is the deciding factor w/ no weapons in play

...hmmm, it's speed, agility, strength, and other weapons wouldn't do a thing for it hmm?

I'm just taking a wild guess, but ripping a skull and spine out of someone can't be easy as pie with your bare hands, I'm sure a Predator could rip a Terminator's head off. The original poster said the only weapon the Predator couldn't use was the plasma cannon - that leaves a spear, shurikens/smart disk, spear gun, net gun, and that blue goo junk as the other possible weapons it could have, not to mention the wristblades.

Let's also not forget that we've seen Predator's analyze their potential target by x-raying them to see what's on the inside. It'd have an idea of what it was up against.... the Terminator, unless programmed, wouldn't have a clue.

my point is, that I was having the impression that the terminators takes it works more "serious" than a predator. Hell, the terminator soul purpose of being is to terminate.
The predator hunts for sport, so I doubt he lives to hunt as you say it.

And my point is, because of that difference there is also a lot of difference in perseverance

My first thought and vote was for Terminator but after reading some of the pro Predator comments I'm not so sure now... Might be an interesting fight.

Predator is smarter and more agile. But if a T-800 grabbed the Predator's neck, the predator is finished. This is assuming that neither have weapons.

From everything we've seen in movies, it would perfect sense for me that that is what they live for. Why else wouldn't they just eradicate planets instead of finding creatures that would pose a threat, and then picking out the biggest threat of them to hunt down... and take the skull as a trophy?

Before Taylor comes back in the thread and points it out, yet again... yes it's make believe, yes it's a guy in a rubber suit, but in the whole story of it all, a Predator is probably judged in their society by what it has killed - from the bone necklaces to the huge trophies. That would seem to indicate that it's their LIFE to me.




The Predator's soul purpose is to find the biggest, baddest game out their, and defeat it. - Like I said before, the original poster said the Predator can only NOT use it's shoulder cannon, their is a plethora of other highly advanced weapons and tech it could use to take a Terminator down. The whole purpose of being to 'terminate', isn't going to stop a speeding shuriken from royally ^^^^ing up something.

It's like that every time. I'm kinda used to it. Oh and Terminators don't sleep or eat or even rest. They'll just keep coming after you. And how effective is the plasma cannon on strong metallic objects such a Titanium? I think that's what T800 were made of... The more I think about it the more I fee like the T-800 has the upper hand. Kinda like this poll I guess.

I think Preds would own Terminators because they have alien/more advanced weaponry.
However, Terminators ability to travel through time...well.... I might have to change my vote. Terminators can wipe out the Predator race if they go far enough back in time.

Who cares!? A normal HUMAN would kill BOTH.

If a human was in the options I'd vote for them. Hell the liquid Terminator (not sure what number it is!? T-1000!?) beat the hell out of the Arnie Terminator (T-700!?) with a F'n pipe! What do you think a Predator would do with all their weaponary minus the plasma cannon? Like Adam said, one Shuriken or P2 spear and it's over. Then a human like Dutch or Harrigan would kill the Predator.
