It was a phenomenal Olympics from start to finish! I am sad it's now over. I would think that next to the weather, the Olympics are the second most discussed topic amongst people when they are underway. Despite what's happening in Iraq/Afghanistan, and Russia invading Georgia, it's one of the most peaceful moments. Or seems that way. I love how an abundance of countries come together to compete on a global stage, putting their indifference's aside. Albeit, it's shortly lived. Still, it's amazing! Plus, you can't forget about the most important part about the Olympics... THE WORLD-CLASS ATHLETES!

I am really impressed by London's little teaser for the 2012 London Summer Olympic Games. With the double decker bus transforming into a stage that showcased R&B songstress (and major hottie) Leona Lewis, and Led Zeppelin guitarist, Jimmy Page singing and wailing to "Whole Lotta Love." Then of course appears world renowned footballer, David Beckham minutes later.

I really am blown away by Beijing for putting together such a spectacular show. Did my eyes deceive me, but I was watching off and on, and when I went back to the television screen, I spoted Jackie Chan singing. lol

Great job to China for putting together a great Olympics, to all the countries that participated, their successes, and more important than anything else (to this Canuck anyway), Canada kicked some serious ass in Week 2! Woohoo!!! :fireworks

Bring on the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games!!! :rock

I was much more interested and watched more coverage of this Olympics than Athens or Sydney. There were a lot of exciting events.

Great Olympics for the UK, our best perfromace for 100 years and 4th in the medal table behind China, USA and Russia.

Bring on 2012 London and finally some money being spent on the something other than football.
