actually, you guys should be glad sideshow is bringing out these characters caz that can only mean that they're going around the WHOLE block of star wars characters which can only mean more figures
if they had just produce the major characters first, then how could they keep the fans coming back for the other characters?

True dat. But if they go on long enough with the misc. characters, they can really alienate the people who just want the core group.

But I think it's funny that people are complaining about "another jedi". Plo Koon is a long ways from delivery because we'll be getting Jabba, Salacious Crumb, Bib Fortuna, and Boushh Leia first. All original trilogy! So it might seem like we're getting a ton of Jedi (and that is also true) but it's not as crazy as people are making it out to be. I can understand the frustration if they announced Jedi Nikto but Plo Koon is a member of the Jedi Council and will fit up with Mace, Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Kit Fisto really nicely.

You're exactly right! As I said in another thread, this is the first Jedi announcement since MARCH! That's almost half a year from the last Order of the Jedi figure. If they slow down the Jedi any more it'll become the LOTR line.

I love the Prequel Trilogy and the Jedi Order, but I'm still passing on Plo Koon. I've got to save room for characters I care much, much more about: Ben, Vader, Lando, Chewie, Padme, Boba, Luke X-Wing, Yoda, the droids, and a bunch of Stormtroopers.

This is my favorite announcement since Obi-Wan. Plo is my favorite alien Jedi and 3rd favorite character after Obi-Wan and Captain Antilles. This is GREAT!!! I prefer Jedi to all the others, and I don't like Imperials, clones, or cantina/palace aliens. And after enjoying my Mace, I'm dying for more Jedi! I'm so glad the new announcement was Plo!

Anybody heard clarification on the clue given last week. "Jedi on the Horizon" I can think of 2 things.

1. Don't pilots use the horizon as a bearing, and he died while flying his starfighter.

2. The paint deco on his starfighter. It looks like a sunrise or sunburst. Also involving a horizon.

Any thoughts?

I think it was just a way of saying "there is a new Jedi PPO coming soon." I don't think they were being any more clever than that.

Once George puts out the massive SW boxed set with deleted scenes inserted, the ANH anchorhead sequence redone, and puts the Plo Koon/Ki Adi Mundi commando assault into AOTC everyone will be really pissed they passed on this.

I don't think we'll ever seeing the Jedi commando assault inserted into the end of AOTC. Aayla Secura was also a part of that assault (which is why you see her, Ki Adi Mundi, and Plo Koon ushered into the circle of the arena separately from everyone else) but if you look carefully during the arena battle you can see Aayla chopping away at droids in a couple of background shots.

So apparently they just retroactively inserted her into the battle and if she also appears in the commando assault footage they couldn't really re-edit that into the film (unless they digitally erased her from the arena scenes going on at that time of course.)

I am so down for some freaky headed Jedi like Plo Koon. Sideshow does a great job with the human likenesses, but I have always loved their creature sculpts, and even a guy in robes and a rubber mask counts as a creature. I will also probably fall into the completionist category with Star Wars and LOTR too, as long as they don't do too many rehashes of the same characters.
